The gaslight campaign is turning into the gaslight presidency. It has been interesting to see the right co-opt the language and rhetorical strategies of left identity politics.

Also, this and the recount tweets have very cleverly diverted people from the excellent work The NY Times has been continuing to do about Trump’s conflicts of interest, which are vast. He is building a kleptocracy and we are bickering about this shit.

YES YES THIS THIS THIS

I’d say the latter and Ellie fell for it hook line and sinker.

It’s ridiculous for a group of men to declare whether something is sexist, but no more ridiculous than her claim of sexism here. Besides these fucking people’s bloated self importance and lack of self awareness, there’s nothing to see here.

Making unfounded accusations is the new norm now. It’s how we operate now. It’s all be explained in the manual.

I saw it used several times during the election, often with pictures. There’s a similarity there that’s hard to unsee.

I’d been going with Agent Orange, but Il Douche works well too.

“Il Douche”

I get it with the CA civil action, but the NY AG has a very good criminal case against Il Douche, and those that have been defrauded aren’t the AG’s clients—the AG has an obligation to the People—I’d like to see the trial go forward—of course there’d be an appeal, but in the meantime, a felony jacket on that

If he ever played a game of monopoly with his kids when they were younger I bet they had to let him win so he didn’t just smash the board over and walk away screaming about how the game was fixed and he’s a massive winner.

Somebody explain to me why his hundreds of lawsuits wasn’t a bigger story than Clinton’s emails.

This. We need the anti-Thiel to step up and take the reigns on these lawsuits. Trump will just brag that a settlement meant that he is not guilty of anything just like he does with the housing discrimination suits.

Bankruptcies and settlements. The hallmarks of a great businessman.

Ya really. He said he is too busy for the fraud trial, but he’s going on some sort of “victory tour” of post-election rallies through red states? Aside from being, you know, blatant Nazism, he’s setting expectations for his presidency; he’s going to go, say, do whatever the fuck he wants.

Only until February.

This better be a damn good settlement. I’m irritated that it seems everyone’s trying to forget/push things out of the way now that he won. Like he’s become untouchable.

I was hoping it would go trial so that he would lie under oath (he really can’t help it) then he would be in impeachment territory.

No.

I think the strategy is to promote the idea that calling racism racism is far more racist than racism. I’m dead serious here.
