Whilst I agree with the sentiment that this decision is likely backed by the need to continue generating good business prospects with China, the hypocrisy from some people here is astounding.

it doesn’t sound like a money issue so much as a timing issue. insurance doesn’t pay out the next day, and if it takes 2 months to get paid, her husband is home bound for 2 months.
It’s a specialty vehicle that fits a wheelchair. Insurance can be pretty cheap when it comes to modified vehicles.
I think the price difference was made up for by not having to pay for gas, less maintenance and a longer vehicle life. Or at least that’s what the study is trying to prove.
Having a standalone, EV-only sub brand as opposed to sprinkling occasional EV models across all brands is a great idea.
Nothing about Cleveland is cool.
It costs $0.50 to have the USPS deliver a letter for you. What would UPS et al. charge? Comparing apples to apples, a UPS second-day air flat-pack envelope from my home in New York to my mother in Arizona would cost $34.63, without weekend delivery. The same service via USPS is $6.70, or $24.70 if I want Saturday…
Why should the USPS make a profit? It’s a government service. Does the Army make a profit? The Justice Department? The USPS also doesn’t get to cherry-pick its routes like UPS or Fed Ex do. Do you think that if you lived in Nome, Alaska, Fed Ex would deliver a letter for you for 50¢?
It’s really unacceptable that any car doesn’t offer CarPlay/Android in 2018. Even the fact that this literally free program isn’t in the base CX5 is offensive.
I mean, the worst part is that neither the dinosaur or Neanderthals are part of history. History is the study of stuff humans did when they started recording things, historians are only concerned with humans. Studying dinosaurs and Neanderthals would fall under paleontology or biology (depending on how they are…
We’re not all insane in the way that he is, but yes, we’re all insane.
Yes
>>“I don’t even know why we study history. It’s entertaining, I guess—the dinosaurs and the Neanderthals and the Industrial Revolution, and stuff like that.”
“If it is your job to advance technology, safety cannot be your No. 1 concern,”
The question is not whether pasghetticode is “that guy”. The question is whether the Prius failed to yield to the Camry, or whether the Camry failed to yield to the Prius. The only way to determine that is to figure out who had the right-of-way.
Americans have no idea how to merge.
Germans don’t laugh. Laughing is inefficient.
A car that isn’t in a crash costs nothing to repair.
I enjoy reading David Tracy articles because I am a really cheap bastard (I’ve been driving in the south with no A/C for 3 years even though I can afford the repair), yet I feel like a normal person when I see the even more extreme version of myself.
