i regret that i have but one star to give

true — Yeshiva University still has a campus up there, and there are also small pockets of young Modern Orthodox families as a result.

it is literally always the first piece of advice I give.

ohhhh! yes, that’s me, but the guy was Zukka. he is a lovely person, we are just very different people. :)

I am confused?

Agreed x1000. I’m at a boutique because I knew BigLaw wouldn’t quite be my speed, and when there are only 20 lawyers fit (and mutual respect!) is even more important.

I always forget how much people idealize this city until I’m traveling and tell people where I’m from and they get all starry-eyed, ha. Sometimes I forget to remember how fortunate I am to live here!

Seconding the advice about looking at the quality of lawyering. I ended up at my current firm over a different one where I had an offer, because I looked up briefs submitted by both to the court where I was clerking — it was immediately clear to me where I would rather learn to litigate.

Yay for big strong patriotic Catalina! (And for her brave mama!) Please give her extra snuggles from all her Jez friends! :)

I am in NYC, I should do that!

I really really need to do that. My weight fluctuates so I have various sections of my closet, but it’s looking less and less likely with every passing year that I will ever have use for the smallest section again... sigh.

I got some boring OPI and China Glaze, but I was most excited that I picked up a few Julep polishes — have wanted to try them for a while but didn’t want to sign up for the box. A friend recently gifted me some fancy stuff that her roommate got for free through work, tho - butter London, Chanel, Dior, and Deborah
