Some people with disabilities, especially those that manifest more physically and are more visible, seem to fear that physican-assisted suicide will lead to a ‘duty to die’ and the involuntary euthanasia. I understand that fear, but I think the current physician-assisted suicide laws are written to avoid that, as well

No sirree, I don’t want my government getting in between me and my healthcare. I’m perfectly happy with a private corporation that has a clear profit incentive to deny me coverage.

Admittedly I don’t follow her very closely or anything but has anyone ever really made an effort to point out just the shear volume of garbage that Oprah has introduced into the culture? Like, she seems like a savvy businesswoman and kudos for that but it’s like she’s generated this entire side industry of con-artists

Yeah, I’m just going to wait... this is just disturbingly messy either way.

I hope Superintendent Johnson will be out with the same vigor on the talkie talkie shows when one of his own snuffs out the life of another black soul

It’s remarkable to me that this is Eboni Freeman’s first credited teleplay, after eight years working as a producer for Fox Sports. There are writers who will go their entire careers without producing a written work as good as the script for this episode. Given that nearly the entire episode takes place either in the

Yes, John Smiley’s 1987 Topps Traded rookie card—the one Rebecca holds at the card shop—really does mention his interest in karate and pool. Well done by the producers.

I liked the episode. I like seeing all of Jack’s family deal with the fact that they romanticize their memories of him sometimes (something that Rebecca brought up to a point in the therapy session last year).

One of the maddening parts is that Bernie’s supporters can’t seem to grasp why the optics of this are hurting their chosen one.

You’re taking on the Berners AND the AOC fanatics?!

FiveThirtyEight has a pretty good rundown on why Bernie doesn’t have the legs to get very far these days. In the Kansas election, Sanders supported his white Bernie Bro® buddy, Brent Welder over Sharice Davids who not only won, but is one of the first native American woman elected to congress. And with Sanders constantly trying to apologize for Trump voters racist behavior (Because he REEEEALY wants those votes), it
