My shameful memory is the exact opposite (though it doesn’t involve Carson): I didn’t get what was being referenced and laughed and then got uncomfortable glaring from my parents because they thought I knew more than I did.

Yeah, I usually like Boston crime dramas, but this looks pretty mediocre. I get the impression Shahi and Chapman must be playing fairly minor characters, too, so I don’t even know watching it would be worth it to see them again.

I was a teenager when Twilight was a thing and absolutely loathed the books—and—thus was guilty of overdoing the Twilight hate. Having now lived through so many more toxic fandoms since then, I feel like I probably owe them an apology.

Any time people debate best film Hamlets, I always give Richard E. Grant as Withnail as Hamlet as my answer.

Yeah my main takeaway was between her and Chapman, it’s a mini Person of Interest reunion.

I’ve never read a review that made me want to watch something as badly as I want to watch this now. Hope someone takes pity on us and it gets a DVD release.

Nice! My secondary default for him is Charley Ford.

“Whoever wrote this episode should die!”

Whatever it is, for his sake, I hope it isn’t natural because if so, it is unfortunate. I cannot think for the life of me why someone would do that to themselves intentionally, though.

I remember watching and liking The Green Mile years ago and thinking the killer looked familiar. Did not realize that was him. Damn, Rockwell. Range, indeed.

Red-thingy moving toward the green-thingy. I think we’re the green-thingy.”

Yeah, I just never bothered to learn it since he gets killed before the first commercial. . . .

Don’ worry, Sam. You’ll always be Crewman Number 6, I mean, Guy to me. ;)

I agree with you. I feel like there’s a basic checklist they use—troubled parent/child relationship, Godzilla-induced trauma in past, etc.—and there’s no real effort to make them characters.

I never knew how badly I wanted to see Daniel Day-Lewis in a Godzilla movie until now. . . .

I just read your post and agree with a lot of your points! I will readily admit the plot was dumb as hell. It didn’t bother me, but I do think I would have been a lot more critical of that and all the glaring plot holes if I were watching it at home on my TV rather than on an IMAX screen.

Okay, so I am back from watching it and feel no need to post a retraction. I watched it a few hours ago and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it, more so than the 2014 movie, honestly.

President Zod, are you back from Godzilla yet? Interested to hear your thoughts. I really enjoyed it!

I assumed the same thing. I was so relieved to read the article and see that it was not about Jared Leto and he would not be method acting as himself.

No worries! :)
