Actually it was more like, he makes multiple racist comments, she replies back shutting his stereotypes down, he SHOVES her, her friends come to aid her and he pulls a weapon and commences to threatening her.

Thank goodness the student wasn't beat, arrested or killed.  Which is the typical outcome when cops are called on certain people for non criminal actions.  Hopefully they provide enough "training" that this student or others like her don't end up having a funeral instead of a graduation in the future.
