Did you read the article? Look he made a mess of stating his thoughts, but it was more about why did we sideline a Black man, when Casey Afflek had three women come forward about abuse, and he won a fucking academy award anyway.

This is definitely true. I’ve always seen the show as being about Mike and Harvey so without one half of that (and his main storyline in relation to Rachel) idk how they will keep going.

I enjoy that the response from the Jezebel writers on being called out is to just correct you on which news outlet broke the story <eyeroll>

Yeah, but that’s not how journalism ethics works. The story had credibility but the reporting.... didn’t. No real sources, no real facts to report. I get that was incredibly frustrating for Jezebel (and the other ex-gawker sites), but that doesn’t give them a license to just keep stirring the pot publicly on the hopes

Here’s the simple fact: The Washington Post did journalism the right way, and Jezebel did not.

If the rumors prove to be true no one at Jezebel gets to gloat. They were beyond reckless in how they handled (and continue to handle) this story. The NYT are the ones that put in the work to actually get to the truth, not just putting out a call for someone to do their jobs for them.

Not that I believe him, but isn’t this the same line of thinking people who don’t believe victims of rape use to justify victim shaming. Is “This is not how someone reacts to something horrifying happening to them” really any different than “this is not how someone reacts to a horrifying accusation against them”?

Just where does she think she’s going without Oprah anyway?

He’s been accused(by me) of not really deserving the Oscar for The Revenant, but actually deserved it for What’s eating Gilbert Grape all those years ago. And also not marrying Kate Winslet when when he had the chance, cause their love for each other is undeniable.

you were going to say she can dance well?

But Beyoncé can’t act.

We only got one season of Cupid out of him. His usefulness to me has ended.

Ted Danson has spent his life in the spotlight and has generally been an excellent and decent person. Do you really think he deserves eternal condemnation for a single, questionable decision 25 years ago?

....and apologized for it 23 years ago and never did anything like it every again? And although yes, he should have known better and it doesn’t make it right, he did it in conjunction with Goldberg (who he was dating) and her approval. It was a giant mistake all around, they both apologized and felt horrible.

Pretty sure almost nobody remembers that. Ill-advised, to be sure, but probably not worth calling him an asshole decades after the fact.

Just based on his appearance in this episode, I didn’t find him to be the caricature that he was in the book. I thought his scene with Claire was lovely and gives me hope for the Willoughby character going forward.

Congratulations* on their long relationship!

What prompted Yi’s tweet in the first place? Could she not have, I don’t know, directly contacted David Cross the moment this trauma emerged from her subconscious? Everything always has to be so out there. A man said a shitty thing to a person once upon a time and absolutely owes her a personal apology. Personal:

The people defending her get it. The endless comments talking about how “over her” they are, not so much. Taylor Swift seems to be the epitome of “have fun with your thinkpieces, but I’m laughing all the way to the bank” and although an unpopular opinion, I LOVE her for it. Also, the author is and has repeatedly

she posted these on her insta, where her fans follow her. jez is the one shoving it in your face. what is she supposed to put on her insta? pics of other people?
