It won’t be huge. At least, not on a Will & Kate level. And remember, this would be her second marriage, I think they will want something lower-key. Like Charles & Camilla, at a smaller church maybe up in Windsor, no big foofy dress or parade through London or balcony kisses.

I was just in the hospital for a lung infection and the whole process has made me reevaluate some things in my life. I’ve never been in the hospital overnight before, and the worst illness I had up until now was the flu. I hope to never take my health and fully functional body for granted again.

See, I have so so so many goals but don’t have nor expect to get the good health to be able to chase those goals.

OMG I just wrote a response above that was very similar to this. Yes yes to living a content, mediocre life and not comparing yourself to others. Yes to this entire comment.

I’ve been thinking a LOT about this lately (and when I say “lately”, I’m talking heavy rumination on and off for about 5 years). Anyhow, an idea has formed and keeps taking shape, but it’s this: our current culture (especially the last 20 years, i.e. the internet/tabloid years) is obsessed with attainment. I’m not

This is so me. I’ve grown to really just wanting a mediocre life. After all, by definition most people are average. I’ve gotten sick of and angry at the implied social expectation of striving to be/appear “better” than other people.

I read an article a while ago, the title was something like “What if all I want is a mediocre life?” The woman who wrote it talked about how she is content, but seems to be surrounded by people who are always striving for something more.

Sigghhh, Laura and Remington. That was how you did chemistry in the day.

I wish Bey a safe delivery but I’m already so sick of these babies. *shrug*

It’s like I have a twin!!

I love Hoda too and good on her for adopting but I wish the Today show would quit with the babies-are-the-only-thing-valuable-about-these-women-and-all-women theme. Dont get me wrong, babies are okay, but just once I wish theyd trot out some Today related person who would say babies are hard and I kind of wish I

Successful people commit suicide. Black people commit suicide. Muslim people commit suicide. The police obviously need to rule out every possibility of foul play. But based on this post we know nothing about her personal life, if she was suffering from depression, having financial problems, found out she had incurable

But you DO need some degree of privileges to boycott Wal-Mart.

“...refuge for people who have completely and utterly given up.”

Ah the luxury of having never bought an item from Walmart. You obviously have never lived in a small town with poor parents, and the only place for 30 miles is a Walmart. In rural areas, it’s a necessity.

Because it sure seems like if it’s to help school-age girls get into STEM, Jezebel is all for it...but if it’s to help boys with the problems boys have, then it’s sexist and excludes girls.

Yeah, I feel like people forget that a lot of the problems in the movie aren’t problems with the movie. They are problems with humanity. Like, sometimes humans are messy and not very nice to each other.

Another word that needs to die. Soon.

Can we please retire the word “influencer”??? (And while we’re at it, “creative” as a noun?)

If the photos of Watson that were leaked aren’t nude photos, why does Jezebel’s headline say hackers have leaked nude photos of Watson? It seems best to keep headlines about a sex-crime as accurate and non-click-bait-y as possible.
