As far as gentle but effective cleansers go, I also recommend Cetaphil. Rub it all into your dry face, then wet your hands and wipe it off, or just splash some water on your face. Pat dry, tone with some witch hazel, and you're good to go.

A lot of the cosmetics companies they work with give them huge discounts, I imagine, because they are buying so many products and also because they want the people buying the boxes to try the product, love it, and buy more of the product. I'm not entirely sure myself, but I think that must be how it works.
