How short were those shorts? Because they were some HOT PANTS. Hahahahahahahah! Choke.

I always said the Jeremiah Wright controversy should have at least reminded people that Obama is not a secret Muslim. Bring it on.

Embryos before hos.

They could put that puppy in ANY ad and I would do what it asked.

Deep Springs is free - ain't that privilege?

Isn't sexism more about power and less about discerning that we have different genitals?

The last time I flew with Delta I spent the night in Cincinnati - and then spent two hours on the phone trying to get a flight the next day. It was Thursday night - and they had me leaving Saturday afternoon. It was an hour of dialing and then an hour on hold and by the time I get a human I was crying. Then we arrive

I'm not saying it would be civilizing the boys. Sorry if it came across that way - I was just relating my own experience with single-sex education. Obviously shit was different at my co-ed college.

I flew Delta cross-country a few times when I first moved to California. Three times - yes, thrice - I failed to make it to the opposite coast in one try. "Delta: Forcing you to spend nights in Atlanta motel rooms" should be there new motto.

The idea behind women's educational institutions is that they weren't allowed into the ones for men. They continue today because - I think most of us can agree - women are still not on equal footing as men. But I think all-male institutions - be it Deep Springs or country clubs - should be encouraged to go co-ed.

Oh, this will be interesting! I've seen some very cool shows on National Geographic, PBS etc. and read some books - for instance, dogs are excellent face readers and can tell that when your eyes are closed you can't see...so they can sneak that treat you said not to touch.

Well, I'm conflicted. I support women's equal opportunity but I know some guys who went to Deep Springs and they're kind of freakshows.

Why, yes, I did know that but thanks for sneering.

Stephen Friend, a Philadelphia area politician, but I think that was in like the '80s...I'd have to Google it but that's what memory tells me.

"I don't swim." It still kills me.

I'd like to think they're practicing for the kitty synchronized swimming event...Hey you! I know you!

I hear ya. I have gotten larger AND the seats have gotten smaller, it seems. But are my wide thighs a safety issue or an inconvenience to another or just horror at fat females? Because there's no similar policy when your seatmate has huge hairy arms or smells like a yak or whatever. Why do fat thighs count more?

Well, now they're enforcing a vague standard AND offending people. I really don't think the extra chub on your average bootylicious passenger is gonna cause a large jet to crash.

Well, if they can't set a standard then how are they making these decisions at present? Someone looks fat? A neighboring seatmate complains? The armrests won't go down? It is bullshit that a decision that necessitates a doubling in your fare is made on an ad hoc basis.

You've clearly never flown Southwest.
