The number of salaried jobs out there paying $60k or less where they require a minimum of 50 hrs per week and frequently pushed people to 90-100 hrs per week is astounding by itself. Compare it to this and it becomes comical.

That's exactly what I'm saying. $30 an hour is enough to buy a house and raise two kids while living within your means. That's basically the definition of middle class. Of course it gets easier with two earners in a household but that's not always possible.

You mean an entry-level engineer makes less than a veteran technician? How shocking! The guy who signs off on that entry-level engineer's work is making much more than an assembler could ever dream of making.

The law limits the list to cars with a production run under 500 units. If you had enough money or political influence you might be able to get that limit raised to 2500 or maybe even 5000.

What makes you think I'm not a proponent of universal healthcare or that I'm not a socialist?

Poorly-performed assembly can lead to major issues with quality and reliability and severely impact an automaker's global brand. I wouldn't want my house built by day laborers and I wouldn't want my car built by poorly-paid assemblers who are only working in the factory because they couldn't find anything better to do.

$30 an hour is barely enough to support two kids with a middle class lifestyle. Would you rather everyone just lived poorly on welfare or stayed childless?

$800 for a windshield? That's insane! How do they get away with that?

It's a sarcastic take on the idea that an uneducated observer might see the hood gap and think of it as a design flaw. Poor assembly was typical of supercars 20 years ago but mostly went away in the 2000s.

Decade/Century/Millennium are terms with 10/100/1000 directly in their names. Not 9/99/999

Yes, that's exactly what I want to have happen when I'm making an avoidance maneuver.

GM is only importing the SS due to a contractual obligation to Holden (GM Australia). Due to the (until recently) very strong Australian Dollar it is very expensive to import. As a result they are not making any money on it and it will stop production when GM shuts down Australian production in 2017. If the AUD keeps

We could make every person on earth 600 Galaxy S5s with that amount of Lithium and still have some left over.

You mean like the BRZ that's constantly derided for having only 200 hp?

There are enough proven lithium reserves in the ground (11 million tonnes) to produce 573 million more Tesla 85 kWh battery packs (50 lb Li+ per pack). We have a long way to go until that becomes a problem.

In Virginia it is a criminal offense to drive over 80 miles per hour (130 km/h) or exceed the speed limit by 20 miles per hour. Instead of just paying a ticket you'd have to go to court and possibly face up to a year in jail. Patrick (writer of this article) had to spend a weekend in jail for going 91 in the ZL1 he

nearly 25 percent of drivers died in robberies and assaults.

The murders aren't what caused the slowdown. It's the disagreement between the police union and their elected leaders that is to blame. Police get shot at all the time in this country but that doesn't cause them to stop doing their jobs.
