I think that was James Adomian, I've heard him do that as a bit.

Why hasn't Peggle 2 hit the PC yet, anyway? Then again, if it's as much of a step-down from the original as Plants vs. Zombies 2 was, I probably don't want to bother with it anyway.

Nerd checking in: Waltor was originally released on a 7" that came with Chunklet #11. It wasn't collected on Singles Breaking Up, though.

I think the level of casual homophobia in popular hip-hop is something to be more ashamed about than a pop-rapper punching a little above his weight.

And the absurdity of the plot is further commented on by "La Madrina," who berates him for exactly that reason before he's sent off on that ill-fated jeep ride.

Wow. Well done.

Seriously, I didn't see them live (tho some of my friends did), but you can watch any youtube video yourself and see just how horrendous the drumming was for this reunion. Couldn't they just have found some moderately competent session drummer to go on tour with?

Bioshock, Deus Ex, Fallout…

Seems like just yesterday…

Castle Face records has put out two flexi-disc comps that I believe inspired the DBA release, and both of those are really killer.  The first one has Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin doing two Bowie covers, and their take on Fame is totally pulverizing: http://www.youtube.com/watc…  Also the Oh Sees tracks on that comp are

My friend and I ate weed brownies before we went to see this at Angelika for some reason.  When the dog plopped out of the back of the car my friend busted out laughing.  I could actually feel the death stares pointed at us.

That's probably one of the reasons you're supposed to fast before you get general anesthetic.

Someone made a fan trailer for this very idea a little while ago.  It doesn't seem like it's the same personnel but it has the same title and everything.  http://vimeo.com/40381739

It's the name of a song on this record.  "Tom Ford".

I feel like this might be the unspoken benefit of widespread music piracy nowadays.  Do you think Archers of Loaf would be selling out venues full of people who went to record stores to buy Archers of Loaf records?

Hell's bells, Trudy!

Flowers of Romance is really great too, just in a weird way.  And I'm pretty bummed that the bonus tracks on this reissue are so meager.  Supposedly they re-recorded the entire first record for an American release and they're just keeping that locked up in the vaults for some reason.

"(including two simply titled Wavves)"
Not to nitpick but the first record was "Wavves", the second was "Wavvves".
