Cantone is already playing Scaramucci on The President Show

The Howl ad where they got PFT in and pretended they were getting tortured by Scott Aukerman was probably the funniest podcast ad I've ever heard.

He talked a good amount about it on a particularly hilarious Harmontown appearance.

Brainiac were excellent, as is that live show posted in the article. It's revelatory for someone who's only listened to the records. There's one moment in Hot Metal Dobermans where Timmy literally climbs up the mic stand as it tilts into the audience. I didn't think that was even possible.

Hey, it's one record. Listen to it once, then listen to it a couple more times. You might dig it, but that's more or less all there is to it, besides the first record, Live at Jittery Joe's, various singles and demos etc

I think what it boils down to is- music is an artform that's best experienced by being there in the room, and then next best experienced by listening to a recording. Way down the list is experiencing it by reading some dude's take on it.

Astral Weeks hits a lot of the same notes for me that this album once did. And Lester Bangs's writeup of it is essential as well.

There's a whole lot of people keeping rock and roll alive. But if you're looking for a singular online resource to keep track of it for you, you might be looking a while.

Marijuana is one of the only reasons I can deal with this world the way it is.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read. I knew it was gonna be dumb when I clicked over from my RSS feed. But I feel a deep despair that I'm not ever gonna get this time back.

Nardwuar has also done an interview with Blowfly.

It was put on Youtube by the official Beatles account, as promotion for this upcoming DVD. And it's a pretty great clip.

Half Life 3 where are you…

"Stopped playing when I read "Collected 1/100 Flags" on the screen."

I live in NYC and I'm really curious as to what's in the works…

HE LAAAAUUUVED IT

Ok, but you could still use Roundup on food that's not GMO, which then wouldn't be labeled GMO; or, you could have a GMO that's designed so that you wouldn't need to use herbicides or pesticides, and that would have to be labeled GMO.
