Tell me about it :(. I was a teen when Star Wars (Back then it was just “Star Wars”. “A New Hope” was retconned as the title quite sometime later) was first released :(

I was going to say it sounds like a a sanitized re-write of “A Stranger In A Strange Land.

The take-away from all this BS is this: If the comic version of a character is black/poc, then race is an essential part of the character. If white, then race becomes irrelevant...

The scream of anguish from stupid parents is going to be glorious!

Right. But six bucks a month PLUS commercials means I’ll be watching it over at Primewire. One or the other and they’d get at least something out of me.

Jean Auel’s “Ayla”. That very young woman could everything except sing.

One can only hope...

I think the person that wanted the “no nudity” clause was the actress that played Ros. After that statement came out, she never was nekkid anymore. Also, her character didn’t last long either...

“but it’s profoundly more watchable than Arrow and has been for a while.”

Uhhmm, nope. The books are steaming pile of crap. Polish a turd and all you get is a shiny piece of shit...

That’s one thing I always notice regarding actiony movies/TV shows. Good thing is that the past few years have been much better abput trigger discipline.

Giggity

<Puts on asbestos jacket> I skip every last page with Tom Bombadil on it when I re-read LOTR. Excruciatingly boring & trite, and has almost nothing to do with the actual story.

I'm not sure of DS9 per episode cost, but I do recall JMS saying that he could make half a season (11 episodes) of B5 for the cost of the DS9 pilot.

Google "Primewire" (Not sure of the policy of linking streaming sites here...)

Reeves is still, by far, the best Superman. Yes, better than Christopher Reeve.

That was one of the coolest things I've seen on UTube. I can't believe I missed this!
