I don’t disagree with that, but adding inches to your vertical is like shaving tenths of a second off your 40 time. It is an easier skill to develop, but the ceiling of that skill approaches very quickly and might not meet the requirements for that individual to dunk.

Valid points. OTOH the average person does not possess a 40" plus vertical leap. You can train all you want but certain things like leaping ability have a ceiling that is reached pretty quickly.

Some of it has to do with particular dishes as well. If you have to get specific ingredients for a one-off meal it’ll almost certainly be close to restaurant prices. Other times you’ll have like 90% of what you need sitting around and you can make a great dish for like $10 worth of a grocery store run.
