No. Microwaves are absorbed only by water and right-sized bits of metal. And the metal tends to cause unpredictable hot spots. It will probably burn portions of the card. Not likely to destroy the information in an effective way and might cause a minor hazard.

When working with kids, if they want a soft drink, my answer is always yes (assuming their parents allow it) but they have to calculate the sugar. We do that together (Googling the grams per teaspoon) and later I test them to confirm they got it. 9-12 teaspoons per 12-ounce soft drink.
