Pennsylvania has a bad habit of vaguely wording ballot initiatives so that they propose a change, but do not indicate what the old rule was. It’s important to know whether I’m voting for a thing to go up or go down.

Your scene reminds me of my friends who will propose a broad idea of plans (movie? drinks?) and then leave all the details of said plan to me. And you can be sure that at least the first scenario I propose will not be workable for them.

I’ve never bought an Old Fashioned that was better than the ones I make for myself.  Once place gave it to me on crushed ice. CRUSHED. ICE.

And there you see why English food is terrible.

Yeah, lots of people complaining that Overwatch isn’t Call of Duty here.

Trying to charge in with Rein and getting tossed over the enemy by a Junkrat mine is infuriating.

Also, if you’re only gonna make rent that month by nickel and diming everyone you went on the big trip with, you should not have gone on the big trip. People would have understood. It’s pretty much the only bulletproof excuse to get out of these things.

It might. The Spider-Verse is vast.

The fact that Peter had to win the final battle without the Stark suit was the only thing that saved Homecoming from being a complete thematic disaster.

You don’t need to read the Silmarillion again.

Ah, the old-comics strategy of drawing a picture of a thing, and then using half the panel to write down exactly what the thing is.

Hey, remember “I’m the Juggernaut, bitch”? Ha ha that was funny stuff. Let’s load it up.

It has to be Iron Man, the movie that basically defined big movies for a decade and counting. Iron Man and its effects on the industry are why this column even exists.

The problem with Parker Posey was that she was over 30.

You should go back. I’ve read the LOTR appendices, The Silmarillion and bits of Lost Tales. Aside from The Hobbit (a literal children’s book) LOTR proper is, in comparison, the easy breezy adventure tale of the Middle Earth universe.

There are few books I will read more than once, and The Lord of the Rings is one of them. On your second and third readings you stop focusing on what is happening and more on how the story is being told. The boring parts between battles become the living, breathing body of Middle Earth. You need to free yourself from

She definitely seemed to be making it up as she went along, which, honestly, is fine. And her postmortem tweets that apparently change the canon don’t actually change the books themselves, and most people are capable of keeping separate works separate.

She’s suffering from Late George Lucas Disease. Can’t leave well enough alone, needs to connect everything to everything. Why can’t Nagini just be a fucking snake?

As a MH noob, the mystery died for me as soon as HR started at like 45 hours in. It finally dawned on me that I would be grinding the same monsters in the same way, just to get armor that could either look cool or give me the stats I want, but never at the same time.

Well no shit that Kansas doesn’t like shellfish. The quality of what they manage to get is probably terrible, and you can go to hell if you think someone from Kansas will actually go to a coastal state for the good stuff.
