I’ve seen it at least a dozen times. There are parts of it that simply don’t make sense. I mean...really...the ultimate weapon in the universe learns about war in the dictionary? I know it is a work of style over substance, but it could be a lot better with more substance.

So...another Jupiter Ascending?

“I AM de Groot!” I wonder how many times he’s heard that.

I know, right? You fly on your own private plane, you ass.

It was always fun when you used an old P2P program (like WinMX) and they shared everything on your hard drive by default. My Junk.jpg? I’d be stupid not to share that with random strangers on the Internet!

Do people still hide things in orphaned directories? That is to say content in directories that are not linked to any other page, so you have to know the full URL to get there. Most professionals have stopped doing this because it is subject to brute force attack, but I wonder on the dark web.

This is what I expect to happen.

Picard is taking Kamin off the grid! As long as he doesn’t go back to the carpet shop.

Yup. First rule of tech support is to assume the other person is full of shit. “Okay, let’s try XYZ.”

He does. Part of me wants them to have a scene where he is possessed or something and gets blue eyes. As if he were in the trawl of the MIB. Like when he takes out Tull (if that is even in the movie). That would be kinda awesome. A nod to us fan boys. And girls.

It is worth reading, but nowhere near as good as The Talisman. Hey! Netflix! This should be your next series!

Hell, yes! Right here and now. I can only guess there are liscensing issues with Straub.

I watched Bastille Day last night. The character dynamics in that film are not that far removed. There is a point where an Eddie Dean-like character gets caught and Idris Elba’s Roland-like character is all “Why did you run?”

Is i09 still going to be around? I’m kinda meh about Gawker, but I would genuinly miss I09.

Yup. There are still traces of it all over Active Directory. We told the organization in question how much time and cost it would take to get rid of it. They got hard wood floors for their conference room instead.

True, but if that were the case, the traffic would be occasional. If you tell it to check for updates every two hours, there would be a burst of traffic every few hours. This was constant. I didn’t bother escalating the issue because everything on the system was public data anyway. We eventually stopped using it

One of the companies I worked for started using it for their company AV. Not only was it a horriably designed product, but it set off alarms on our edge network security systems. Apparently it phones home back to Russia a lot.

These are ridiculous. I bought some of the stuff on sale. Have yet to find a valid use for it.

I worked at a video store in the early 90's. I can’t tell you how many people tried to say the lost The Little Mermaid back before you could buy it at any Wal-Mart. Then suddenly found it again when they found out it would cost $250 to replace.

If someone asks “Do you party” it is the same as if someone askes “Are you a God?” You say yes. Figure out the specifics later. Bye, Gawker. Been nice stuck in the grays with ya’.
