Don’t want to watch another murder-porn of Black and Brown kids being shot to death I will say, however, just from the description of events “the car moved slowly” toward the officer(s?) Was there something preventing them from moving around to the other side of their police cruiser? Or perhaps even further back to a

Chicken Boo is a blank canvas upon which the other characters project their hidden fears and deepest desires, successively idolizing and absorbing him. For the viewers his vacant stare and plaintive squawks echo our existence wherein we try to present a blank, assured facade while living in fear of it being revealed th

Reform implies that the system can be fixed. The goddamn system itself is the fucking problem. You can’t tell a cancer patient that you’ll slap a bandaid on their fucking hangnail whilst doing nothing about the actual cancer that’s ravaging their body!

No, the goddamned point is that there’s no fixing that sort of problem that doesn’t involve reform.

Speaking of their parents: I’d like to know if both sets of parents were married and if they are unemployed. Did anyone receive food stamps or welfare or disability payments. I really need to know if there habe been any child welfare investigations and if these two have ever been suspended from school for fighting.

There’s no control over the most lethal market around-you think that’s ok? Gun culture in america is disgusting and unredeemable. Regions where people hunt to subsist can apply for licenses and get permits for everything. Limits and boundaries need to be clearly established. Until these common sense ideals are in

I said what the fuck I said.

I said what the fuck I said. Politicians use the word reform (and clearly prefer it) so they can say they did something but what was done was basically nothing. They keep talking about reform. People are still dying, its been happening for decades and there’s no evidence that they’re actually interested in fixing

Black admitted to police that he knew Rittenhouse was underage but he said Rittenhouse “would have thrown a fit” if he wasn’t given the rifle

What was I supposed to do? If I didn’t commit a felony crime, I would have had to listen to a kid “have a fit”.

I think folks do and will continue to have differing expectations and aims when it comes to tackling the problem of racist policing and lack of gov’t accountability. That, I expect (along with non-Black folks losing their enthusiasm for the movement when the cases are not so cut-and-dry as George Floyd or Breonna

I would have absolutely expected that to read “instead of tips” rather than “alongside tips”, since these two seem exactly like that type.

It’s a stupid slogan that has done a lot of damage to the Black Lives Matter movement. After George Floyd’s death, support for BLM hit a high of 67%. Then came “defund the police” and white people gentrifying the protests and support dropped down to around 50%. Also, notice how “black lives matter” which a statement

They are each entitled to their own attorneys.

This is what annoys me. People are blaming the Hispanic population in Florida for it turning red but there’s a ton of racist white people in that state who overwhelmingly voted for Trump.  Do not let those people off the hook!

It’s the pull of fascism. It destroyed Germany in the 1930s and 40s and it’s doing the same to the US. If Biden wins, it’ll stop the fascist train - for now. But half the country just overtly declared itself fascist, and those people have been empowered by their orange führer and they’re not just going to go away if

Yeah, Republican intransigence on no-excuse mail-in ballots is going to be very interesting in 2022 and 2024. Like, if we can do this now, why not just keep doing it?

America is, at minimum, a center-left nation with a voter suppression problem. Many of these red states are the engine behind that problem.

“Biden doesn’t need to pick a black woman as VP because he already won their vote in the primary” was my favorite.

Sure it should be, but you could say the same of South Carolina, West Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas Oklahoma, and the rural parts of Florida and Georgia. Getting stuck on how things should be instead of accepting how they are is one way Democrats lose.
