What got me interested in drifting when I was a wee lad was that it was a sport for the underdog. Watching a little tofu delivery car beat out cars with twice as much power with just drivers skill was rad. But nowadays its LS swaps in everything, boosting all cars too 500hp+. I get it though, Ls swaps are easy, cheap,

Massively disagree. That’s how you get an Austin Allegro.

Look at a modern Chevrolet or Lexus and tell me, with a straight face, that the monstrosities coming off the production line are exactly what the designer intended, rather than the sea of engineers, accountants, PMs, and dimwitted VPs that stand between the designer and the final product.

Engineered bad is bad.

Modified bad is awesome.

purists gonna purist. “How dare you make your property look the way you want”. I’m assuming you live in a house with flat white walls and beige everything

Not exactly. Most (tasteful) chops are only around 2-4 inches, which isn’t too terrible, and if you’re worried about seeing traffic lights, there are these things called traffic light prisms on the market which, surprisingly, actually work very well I’m told. And as far as “messing up the lines the designer intended”

I feel your opinion is based solely on ignorance, but I respect it.

I don’t fight the mentally challenged.

Yeah, well.  That's just, like, your opinion, man.

Challenge Accepted.

Most definitely!

Call me crazy, but I was always fond of the first-generation Neon badge. Cheerful like the rest of the design, without verging into cutesy.

hi!

Aw I just realized this is all a prelude to you getting the hell away from G/O Media isn’t it

“...should I decide to leave metro Detroit soon.”

What you and Mack have in quantity, Ballaban makes up in (lack of) quality.

I wish GTAV was 1/4 the size and had FUCKING FUNCTIONAL MATCHMAKING.

Chevy came very close numerous times, but never finished.

Current theory is that the Corolla will get the driveline from the Yaris GR4 to help justify the cost of development.

I’m all for a 270hp, AWD Corolla.
