Well, since it’s in China there’s either just a trench in the floor for you to squat over, or you can just crap on the ground outside like everyone else. But since it’s Hong Kong, there’s still a chance they have some of the old British style coin-op toilets where you have to pay roughly $5 to have a pee.

The McDonalds in Missouri near me

If mcdonalds did this here

I didn’t remember product placement being THIS blatant when I was a kid.

Not sure what working at a fancier location in this case has to do with pay.

are they going to raise the pay for employees?

I assume that they meant how many accounts were shown to the wrong people, not everyone who had login troubles from the DoS attacks. I would guess that they checked the logs on the cache servers, and found that roughly 34,000 different accounts had been accessed via that server.

You can’t create a new weakness or expose secure data just by slamming a server with traffic.

Many of their staff were away from work spending time with their families on vacation while this problem happened.

but this is a fine response and a good example of how to properly address a crisis

Judging by the fact they won’t even take the time to post a single text update to the official Western site saying “delayed, sorry”, it’s pretty safe to assume it will never officially be released here.

Officially, no you can’t, it’s a TOS violation to access the game servers from outside the officially released regions.

I quit waiting for this one a long time ago. Between blaming the exploit problems on “US hackers” instead of fixing their crappy network code, and intentionally releasing content for non-JP regions months (or years) behind the JP region, it’s just a big all-around “fuck you, America”.

From what I’ve heard, the English version is not well translated, and a lot of content is intentionally delayed compared to the JP version. The fan-made language patch for the JP version is the way to go. But you’ll need to find a good proxy since they keep pulling crap with IP blocking on US and European IP address

I think most of the people who felt like jumping through hoops to play on the JP servers have already done so. At this point you’re starting nearly 4 years late, so I’m not sure why you’d want to bother.

I don’t think I’d really call any of Tolkien’s backstory irrelevant. It all ties together and explains why certain things happen.

Right this very minute, he is on his 50th page about Nynaeve pulling on her braid.

the media’s horrible image of the female form

That’s too bad. I guess I always assumed she wasn’t there to stop him, but rather to pick up a pure sample of the virus herself.

But that would’ve required the makers to have both a respect for story and established Star Trek lore.
