You can’t create a new weakness or expose secure data just by slamming a server with traffic.

Officially, no you can’t, it’s a TOS violation to access the game servers from outside the officially released regions.

I quit waiting for this one a long time ago. Between blaming the exploit problems on “US hackers” instead of fixing their crappy network code, and intentionally releasing content for non-JP regions months (or years) behind the JP region, it’s just a big all-around “fuck you, America”.

From what I’ve heard, the English version is not well translated, and a lot of content is intentionally delayed compared to the JP version. The fan-made language patch for the JP version is the way to go. But you’ll need to find a good proxy since they keep pulling crap with IP blocking on US and European IP address…

I think most of the people who felt like jumping through hoops to play on the JP servers have already done so. At this point you’re starting nearly 4 years late, so I’m not sure why you’d want to bother.
