I appreciate your taking the time; as someone who defaults to "hyper-verbose", I have pretty much always benefited from reminding myself of Pascal's quote "I would have written a shorter letter, but I did not have the time."

I think you're missing the point of the comic (which I admittedly could have elaborated on): your conversational tone, while literally polite, comes across to the reader as passive-aggressive. There are a few reasons for this.
