i was lucky enough to see one take out a seagull when was a teenager. Knocked the seagull into the water in a puff of white feathers. The seagull actually got up and made a break for it, made it about another 25 yds then POW! white feathers

Ya we have same 0.05 % thing up here in British Columbia. I actually got stopped at a road check and breathalyzed a couple weeks ago. IIRC i had 2 beers (usual 5% bottles) with no more than a couple of chips during a time span from about 8:00 to 11:00. I had my last beer around 10:00 ish probably finished it before…
Looks like the XC60 did better in that test than Land Roved did.
Tim’s coffee does suck. But I still drink it several times a week because im a proud ass Canadian
didnt see that coming
Raise your hand if you learned this same lesson, or with a cheap harbor freight tow strap. (sheepishly raises own hand)
Ugly you say? Ok ill play
Well i will admit I am waaay bias to KTM myself (i ride a 950 adv my little brother rides a 690R) so i wouldnt take much convincing that the 690 is a better bike especially offroad. But from my experience on the 690 after about 1-2 hrs of seat time I would pick that cb500 in a heartbeat over it. Plus as gonzo powerful…
I absolutely agree. The cb 500x will never be the 690 offroad for sure. But ultimately the push to find a better functioning adv bike has alot of room for improvement and this kit is a really good step in getting there
that was my first thought but you could get a 690R with nothing on it (keep in mind it will cost you $2-3000 to fit it with similar kit) or this bike completly decked out and ready to go. For what its worth i would disagree with it being a weak platform but thats just my feels on that.
Ok that is pretty cool. How the heck did they do it for so cheap? I mean even tacking on tax and shipping your still gonna be under 3K. That would be a really cool bike
I think you understand the market perfectly IMO. The idea of adventure bikes at the moment is better than the execution. Aside from the africa twin and maybe the ktms every other adv bike is an elephant on wheels. I think the market has a noticeable gap between “enduro” and “adv”. I honestly think that the 600-700cc…
My question is: are the tires a 17"/19" setup? If so how did it perform offroad in an “expert” offroad setting? How do you think they compare to a 17,18,19"rear / 21" front or traditional enduro setup? My reason for asking is if they bill it as a serious of road bike then tire size matters. small tires offroad suck…
hope im not too late to suggest a soundtrack for the vid?
This bike isnt without issue but im going to glaze over most of them just to say I hate the skull on the windscreen. But ya thats straight outta left field, good for Harley on this one. Genuinely interesting news from them, thats pretty cool
I was going to make a “President Triumph” joke but I thought maybe people might think I’m talking about Triumph the comic insult dog. Now I cant stop thinking that he wouldnt be a terrible candidate really.
I hate to admit it but no probably not. However its hard not to get exited about trick things like that. Maybe its best to think of it in terms of cars. Most people only really need a wrx... but they do make the STI. Bikes dont often appeal to people with trim packages and when they do they always seem to be received…
If you think of it in terms of a $2000 upgrade for what looks like ohlins suspension and (insert reputable brand name brakes) then its actually a good deal. I spent all of that on just suspension last season. but to answer your question of would i buy it? No. It is hopelessly cool but for that range I think i would…
“Puny meat-sack”. I take exception to that!. But seriously that was a hard hit and i would want no part of it, as long as they are ok thats all good.
Tiger is cool. Not my personal forte for engine characteristics (like v twins) currently rocking the 950 adv and i love it but i would like an adv bike that could sit around 400 ish lbs. KTM is the most likely to ever do it i think. I would settle for a 690 adv if it had a proper seat
