Stan has come into it's own really well now. They go pretty all out to try to get the best content possible (I was pleasantly shocked to recently learn that they have the extended LOTR movies and only the extended ones. That's nerd cred right there). Their interface isn't as refined as Netflix but they get an

You raise a great point there. I guess the easiest answer is probably that Lydia liked the extra income. She seemed like the kind of obnoxious mother who would insist on the most highly expensive schools. Plus while she seems to have no ability to actually physically look at violence or it's aftermath, she certainly

Given that Foxtel gleefully mocks the public with the constant "nah nah nah we have Game of Thrones!" it's great to get home from work, load up Stan and have four brand new twin peaks episodes waiting for me.

So is it generally felt that this season is working? It's still highly entertaining and every actor is constantly great but we're past the half way point now and it all still feels kind of…eh. There's been some great scenes but I struggle to think of a truly great episode this season. Even the seemingly huge departure

We now have Netflix in Australia but we also have a charming netflix knockoff/competitor called Stan. Stan is a nice extra streaming service but hardly essential. A few years ago they signed a huge deal with Showtime to get television first run on Stan and the deal seems to have been done largely to secure the Twin

"Madoff?" "MADOFF!!!"

One of the most tragic things about President Trump is that it shows that's entirely possible for someone with no political experience and no ability to somehow win the highest elected office in the free world.

I'll forever love The Rock for gleefully calling himself "Franchise viagra"

To their credit, they've lampshaded his name at least once.

I guess it's to only have 4 DC shows on at once. Legends can wrap up it's shorter season and then Black Lightning can replace it.

Not to mention the fact that Underwood has yet to actually win an election. Underwood could now be crowned king of planet earth and it would still be more realistic than Trump having won.

Season 4 is a lot more fun. But season 3 also has Mads Mikkelsen's brother as a Putin knockoff, so that's enjoyable at least.

The original house of cards show is a lot of goofy fun. Particularly the second season where the Prime Minister goes to war against Prince Charles.

Allegedly, he bore some ill will because Manu Bennett was angry that they never brought back Deathstroke or that they never did anything more with his character. It's all just speculation though, but it's probably telling that he never came back for the 100th episode this season.

There's the original non-Lynch script for that final episode online and while the broad points are pretty much the same, it's astonishing how much pure beauty and terror Lynch brought to the finale. The original script is just pages and pages of Windom Earle rambling endlessly with only a brief glimpse of Laura. Lynch

The flash has the potential to be delightfully kooky fun. The movie won't be of course because fun is not allowed in these movies, but a movie budget talking gorilla army and a gang of super villains and a time traveling speedster on the big screen would be great fun.

LOT running with the camp factor is what makes season 2 so delightful. The legion of doom as a bickering gang of former Arrow and Flash villains was a masterstroke. Plus their use of George Lucas was wonderful.

I've heard the prison break revival has been met with fairly indifferent ratings. Hopefully this means that The CW can lock up Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell for all eternity now. Purcell really came into his own during season 2 of Legends and Miller has always been delightfully campy fun. I still hold out hope

I realized Trump would be a monster far earlier than Dave Chappelle. Does that therefore make me cooler than Dave Chappelle? I like to think so.

It was a lot of fun to see her totally unraveling right from the get go. Trying to have a secret meeting at Mike's coffee shop. Paying off Mike's guys to kill one another. Screaming into a pillow.
