Prometheus is a victim of Alien expectations. Is it anywhere near as good as Alien? Hell no! Is it a well made, beautifully shot, generally great sci fi film about the nature of human existence in an uncaring universe? Yes! A thousand times yes!

True true. I forgot about the "yellow eyed demon" being in the pilot. I would however imagine that Lenny being the central avatar of Farouk only came about due to Plaza's performance. I'd be shocked if the idea of that Nina Simone dance sequence came about independent of Plaza's casting.

Can we kickstart this movie? Is that a thing kickstarter can do? Because I'd kickstart the hell out of the future epic "Rami Malek does his tax returns"

I'd excited as all hell that BD Wong is a starring cast member for season 3. Whiterose is always wonderful. I also really enjoyed all of Angela's weird interactions with creepy Mr Price.

I can only assume Sam Esmail needed more time to deal with Trump's whole…thing. Given how the show managed to wring heavy paranoia out of Obama, I can only assume what rabbit holes of insanity President Trump will bring out in the show.

I think he played the partner of Philip Seymour Hoffman's daughter. One of the inner circle cult people. I think his main role in the theatrical cut was part of those weird mind control sessions. He gets to sit opposite Joaquin Phoenix and yell things like "Hey dummy! Hey dummy!"

Oh dear lord that is…I really can't…why did he do that? Was he desperate for work? That's just…incredible.

The other difference between the Legion pilot and the main series really feels like Aubrey Plaza's role. Given her vague character in the first episode, and the pilot setting up the ominous but bland evil division people, I like to think Plaza becoming the big bad Shadow King was a brilliant decision made later on

Playing a "WHO doctor" was what clinched his "Doctor Who" casting.

Binge watching season 2 of mr robot a second time certainly helped. But to compare it to Legion, Legion had crazy dance numbers and a slow but precise build up in it's early episodes. Those first maybe three or four episodes of Legion have kind of an aimless feel, but they still had momentum with new characters and

Peter Capaldi briefly shows up in the climax. So if you've ever desperately wanted Peter Capaldi to be in close proximity to zombies, then it's a solid 10 out 10. Otherwise, yes, it's just dull and forgettable.

There's no way in hell Fincher will stick with it. These exact same reports came out nearly a year ago. Pitt is getting his buddy to kick the tires and have him loudly go "Oh yes Brad! This is quite a movie franchise we have here! Uh huh. Yep! I sure hope no other director decides to jump in and direct it before I do!"

*points at the novel of world war z*

Dear Brad Pitt.

I think the first thing I saw Rami Malek in was The Master. As weird and wonderful as that film was, he was probably one of the most normal things in that. How far we've come over such a short time that the mere glimpse of Malek makes one assume he's about to go on a crazy rant.

Do Malik and Shannon require food or water or sleep? Assuming they do at some point (and who can tell if either of them is actually human) I'd bet on the window to win. But it's also possible the window and the entire room itself might disintegrate under the weight of their combined intense insanity.

I'm hyped for season 3, but at this point mostly because BD Wong has been promoted to a starring cast member. Hopefully the new season has lots of surreal Whiterose mind control sequences and the occasional scene where Whiterose has a vague conversation with Mr Price.

Would you watch him silently do his tax returns for 4 straight hours? I probably would, but only if he sat completely still and occasionally his wonderfully crazy eyes bugged out when he fills out a form.

Doesn't Split's stupid take on mental health get a pass due to it's unbreakable connection? Namely that, the movie isn't TRYING to present bullshit mental health nonsense, it's actually about a guy with evil super powers that just happened to have manifested in a way that they're given a bullshit mental health

Manchurian Candidate is criminally underrated movie. It's probably due to the fact that it's a remake of a classic movie, but Demme's version was really surreal and haunting in it's own right.
