I now really hope there's an alternate universe where Josh Trank made the exact same Fantastic Four movie, only starring Mads Mikkelsen instead of Miles Teller. And the entire story and every single other cast member is the exact same. So everyone treats Mads like he's just graduated high school and his childhood best

It was the highest grossing superhero movie ever! It made more than even Spider-man 2! A real shame that that brilliant actor Vincent Chase never really got another big budget slot again. Though I heard he was pretty amazing in Martin Scorcese's Great Gatsby film.

So maybe him being all skittish about directing Batman and then dropping out of directing Batman was less to do with creative problems and maybe more to do with him needing to sort out his personal difficulties? It could swing either way really. Either he made a preemptive step to scale back or maybe he was having

I must admit, the only doctor who thing of his I've enjoyed was Dinosaurs on a spaceship and even then that was kind of forgettable. There were some great torchwood episodes here and there but for me, none that were personally written by him. Broadchurch series 1 was fantastic and he showed immense writing skill with

A new entry in the universe of The Matrix? Could potenially not be the worst thing in the world. A straight remake of the original? Hell no! But the Animatrix demonstrated that the world the franchise is potentially rich enough to allow more interesting stories. But a new remake would be awful on every level.

I like to think the Wachowski's are happier now. Netflix seems to give them a blank check to indulge their crazy and they get a far longer runtime for each season of sense8 then a regular movie. They also get to use all their regular collaborators and don't need to stress about box office gross.

I think that's the very thing that crippled Superman Returns. In theory, that movie had almost everything, a likable superman, a well cast Lex Luthor, a decent director and a general sense of colour and old world optimism. But that movie drags on for almost 3 hours and then superman's big climax is…lifiting a giant

Yeah and I think that's totally fine. For me, unless there's something big like reshoots or a director being locked out of the editing room, I see no point indulging either good or bad word of mouth until the premiere. Thus far Wonder Woman hasn't had any major shakeups since very early pre-production and looks

The two things that make cling to hope is that they largely have talented lead actors and Snyder, for all his bizarre choices can direct the hell out of a action scene. Yes all of Metropolis was probably dead due to Superman, but that final fight with Zod was the most exhilarating superman finale ever.

It was probably a natural reaction to try and emulate Nolan a hell of a lot in MoS. After all! Everyone loves Nolan! But I kind of hope the vast success of the CW/DC shows (many of which are often FUN in capital letters) isn't lost on the higher up suits. I mean, they're clearly stupid but surely they're not totally

I was hugely into Life On Mars when he was cast so I was hoping for great things. Simm seemed to have fun as the master but…ugh…total waste especially given the immense talent he showed on LOM.

Capaldi's range is what makes him such a great doctor. He can be playful and funny, but when he gets angry…oh man…all his years as Malcolm Tucker make you FEEL that anger. Tennant was a lot of fun as the doctor but he never really had much range beyond being jolly (which is perfectly great as the doctor).

No no…it's the children who are wrong.

Can Richard T Splet be the lead character? After his amazing quotes and charm in seasons 4 and 5, I'd happily watch for another seven seasons if he's still there.

Could the poster also be a goofy silver age cover as well? Imagine movie cinemas with a giant Man of Steel 2 poster that has Superman marrying a gorilla with a word bubble that says "If I don't marry this Gorilla, the entire word will explode in 20 minutes time!!!"

I'll always admire the sheer passion and joy Anthony Ainley had for that ridiculous character. A lesser (or maybe, far better) actor would have balked at some of those scripts or gotten bored, but not him. His master is totally ridiculous but Ainley had so much fun that for me, it always made him entertaining. Plus at

If John simm was allowed to be cold, calculating and just a tiny bit crazy, then it would have been amazing. But no, RTD had Simms scream, dance to scissor sisters, ramble about drums in his head and eventually turn into a cannibal who could shoot lightning and fly.

So he should smack it with children being murdered and lots of grim misery with rapidly diminishing returns? Let's not forget that Chibnall once wrote Cyberwoman for torchwood, probably one of the single worst episodes of television ever made in the last 20 years.

How could anyone have been fatigued after season 8? We got Missy! And Listen! And that episode about the 2D monsters attacking our reality! And Capaldi pretending to be the school caretaker!

Heaven Sent and Listen and the two part Zygon episodes are magnificent showcases for how utterly brilliant Capaldi is in the role. I deeply love Matt Smith's joyful Doctor but Capaldi is a whole other level. No way in hell that David Tennant could ever have handled an episode like Heaven Sent.
