Yeah, my memory of the younger ones is pretty vague but if they’d had a different Kathleen (or Kathy, of course), it wouldn’t have had the same built-in emotional impact. Especially since of the many offspring, she had the most story.

“Hey Thtabler, I wath really thorry to hear about your thignificant other, man.” - Ice T
Richard, who just a day or two before was picking out the right wine to pair for a “buttery cheese” with his sons, murders his father on the freakin’ Wonder Wheel.
They had the same Kathleen and Dickie, though, which I thought was pretty impressive since of course kid actors often don’t stay actors, and those they do often go west.
Why is SVU still on the air?? Is it so NBC can keep pimping out how it the longest running drama ever?/ Is anybody still watching?
Who is the Captain in this one? He sounds so familiar but none of the credits show him.
What threw me a little was that two and the Stabler children (Maureen and Elizabeth) were played by different actors then they were back in the day on SVU. I assume Eli is too since he was a toddler when we last saw him but haven’t gone out of my way to look it up. It was driving me crazy (I was stupidly trying to…
1. They really should have gone the divorce route for Stabler. His marriage was always shown to be on the rocks due to Olivia and her shadow over the marriage. Divorce would at least give them material to work with as far as keeping Olivia away from Stabler romantically and negating any immediate push for them to hook…
Add the early seasons, especially the 1st, for SVU as well. Even when Meloni left it was already devolving into the ‘Olivia Benson Hour’. I wish they would drop the music they play in the episodes because its so loud it drowns out the dialogue. Perhaps that is its purpose....
Who is heaven’s name will care for his FOUR DAUGHTERS now?
I didn’t know I had to watch SVU first and was SO CONFUSED at how they just jumped into the action in OC... OMG duh. Thank goodness for hulu.
Watch an early of episode of the original Law and Order then watch this. The difference in quality is honestly embarrassing.
Listen, there are two or three of us who still need to see that Connie and Cutter ended up together.
The lead is a boomer white male cop with a long history of violence on the job, who is motivated by the murder of a woman (his wife). In 2021. Jeez. All he needs is an All Lives Matter T-shirt.
What would cop shows be without the guy who-doesn’t-play-by-the-rules-but-gets-results? Browbeating (or just regular beating) suspects has always been a big part of that. Without the chasing and the takedown and the interrogation there’d be no action , just actual police work and who wants to watch that?
Great article, and completely agree with most of them.
1-3-5 is my favorite method when I decide to sit down and be serious about my lists.
I have my big lists which are written down or stacked (if papers) in order of when they need to be done or consistency (for instance, things to finish and mail, or the next step in a project that I can’t finish completely because it needs a response). Usually the night before I plan to do something the next day, or…
