I wonder what the deal is with the new JL toon. It's going to start airing overseas soon. It had a toy promotion come and go at McDonald's. But it still doesn't have a US premiere date.

But will it be played by a dude in a costume stomping around a cardboard city in the movie?

IDW just started reprinting it here.

Joe Books does the Disney Princess series.

They were always a bit apathetic about that sort of thing. Darkwing Duck had episodes with the return appearances of characters airing before their first appearance had.

They did something similar here. Since they were the only ones finished at the time, a handful of the Miranda episodes aired on the Disney Channel as a preview a few months before the show's Disney Afternoon premiere.

It has been relaunched with the same creative team…

The four issue structure was awful. It meant every story had to be a HUGE, LIFE-CHANGING event. Darkwing is built on inconsequential slapstick.

Yeah, Joe Books picked up the license last year. They did a big trade collecting the entire Boom series (minus the DuckTales crossover) and then relaunched the monthly with the same artist and the original editor/co-plotter of the Boom run writing. #6 should be released in a couple weeks.

It was the other way around. The episodes with the female partner, Miranda, were produced first, but Disney was dissatisfied by the early episodes they were delivering. So they fired everyone and brought in new people who revamped the show with the male partner, Lucky. They led with what they thought was the better

The current comic series has done a much better job of living up to both the cartoon and the promise of "The Duck Knight Returns" than the old one did. It dropped the rigid and pace-killing four issue arc structure in favor of done-in-ones and the occasional two or three parter. And it doesn't take itself so damn

Every supervillain.

That's too aggressive for him. He'll tweet/make a youtube video about someone on the Internet being snarky about him. Then other people can show up and yell for him.

And I took it to mean that Hulk forced himself on Jen

I cannot imagine( and I really am trying) what you mean by bullshit in the OML story.

"RACIST SEXIST BIGOT FASCIST XENOPHOBE ISLAMOPHOBE TRUMP."

Last year's "Halloween of Horror" was good.

I don't think I've read that one.

The Ghostbusters parody even had its own Frank Grimes cameo.

That was in this month's Illustrated. The Death Note story was reprinted from 2008's Treehouse of Horror.
