They really do. It'd be amusing if it weren't also so pathetic. But hey, sometimes it's good to add another person to the block list and this guy definitely made it there.

It's not deflecting to point out that real ones VASTLY outnumber false ones. Exponentially.

….the lack of self-awareness is stunning.

Me too! I got signed plates from him when I bought a couple Wondermark books and he signed them "to my BEST friend". He's so rad.

It's a sea lion signal.

To expand further, if he truly does take this to heart and stop saying awful things about rape, I'm impressed and I hold him no ill will, especially since he's a survivor of abuse himself. I'm wary because I have seen far too many men like this walk back their awful opinions about one victim once they hear the story

A baby attorney?! Y'all should make a movie.

Agreed. I already found his behavior disgusting, but to me what tore it and made me say "his version of the story is a lie, anyway" was him inviting his buddies in. That's….yeah I don't even have words for it.

This comment is perfect. Thank you.

Heh, I worked at Guaranteed Rate for two years. This does not surprise me in the least.

Yeah, and as Wafflicious said, women also shouldn't drink, or be alone with men, or flirt with men, or walk alone at night, right? I mean, personal responsibility. Also be sure to never be friends with men as you're more likely to be attacked by someone you know.

So victim blaming, then.

Yeah, I can expect control of the results, because I legally sold them on that website with an agreement they would stay on that website. Anyone who provides access to them elsewhere is breaking the law.

And? Is the suggestion that we never take such photos because someone might hack us? As opposed to maybe stopping the people who doxx people this way?

Yes, we do. We don't give in and just say everyone gets to have access to whatever we do just because the world is shitty.

Thanks for the conversation!

Just listened to that one earlier today!

This isn't generalizing from the specific. This is generalizing from many, MANY, MANY cases. You're just going to have to accept that the justice system is abhorrent when it comes to rape cases, because that is the reality we live in. Read some books on the subject, such as the one I suggested above, Asking For it

Women are discouraged from reporting by real life issues though: by the fact that they are openly discouraged by the police: http://www.nytimes.com/2016…

Oh, I also would have loved a faceless internet mob going after him too. A bonus would be maybe more women would have known to stay away from him!
