The justice system really is that bad for rape victims. About 6% of those accused are convicted. Sorry, but that isn't because only 6% are guilty.

I rewatched all of Monster Factory recently and was doubled over with laughter several times. The man is ridiculously funny!

I really HOPE it wasn't actually vitamin D, that can do really screwy things to your blood calcium and cause kidney stones. Shoulda stuck with vitamin C, if you take too much of that you just piss it out*. Which doesn't solve the whole "stuff in your lungs" problem, but still.

But why is it relevant, then? If a pattern of abuse doesn't mean that a person isn't an abuser now, who cares whether or not they've done it in the past? I get why it matters if a flood of other accusations come out, that does lend credibility to current accusations. But if others saying "well, he didn't abuse me"…

Where did I say someone making an accusation can't happen? It can. The rate of false accusations is the same as any other crime, which means it's extremely rare, so why does it get brought up any time a man who is in any way in the public spotlight is accused of rape? We don't do the same for any other crime.
