Although I like the idea of him being so incapacitated that even the GOP can’t Weekend-at-Bernie’s him through as a figurehead anymore, yet remining lucid enough to know how weak and pathetic he remained.

I didn’t watch the trial because I checked out on Johnny Depp’s drunken Keith Richards/Hunter S. Thompson impression 25 years ago. A great many people watched this trial and are convinced she lied and that there was plenty of evidence against her so I can’t really criticize celebrities who felt the same way.

Except there isn’t strong evidence she lied in her op-ed - the issue at hand. What we have here is just demonstration that a jury of lay people will reliably buy into misogynist narratives about conniving women and imperfect victims.

She said she was personally told by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken that securing Griner’s safe return is a “top priority” for the government.

Was this physician’s name T. Ravis Barker, M.D., by chance?  And did he look just like Travis except for a lab coat, a toy stethoscope, and a fake-looking moustache?

I tuned into FauxNoise for ten whole minutes and managed to catch all the unhinged talking points: It’s the school’s fault for not having an armed guard and a “fortified” entrance. It’s the parents’ fault for not pulling their kids out of public school because private schools “take security seriously.” And then a

This country has an appetite for self-destruction. Be it climate change, sensible gun legislation, abortion access, funding for childhood programs, or a social safety net, we just do not care. It’s weaved into our very culture of hyper-individualism and reverence for violence as a means of resolving problems. It’s

I sign NDAs all the time when it relates to confidential company information I might see as a freelance writer. They are fine for that purpose. NDAs should not be valid when they are tools to cover up unlawful behavior.

No it isn’t. No amount of words you use will make that so. Absolute is absolute. If a fucking social media platform doesn’t have a say as to what is posted on their platform then neither should a person have the right to silence another person. Why buy silence? It’s one thing to have an NDA about proprietary

You’re completely ignoring the fact that Mr. FreeSpeech payed hush-money.

No, I’m sure a stewardess making a decision about continuing with a case against the richest man in the world or taking a quarter million was in a position where she couldn’t possibly be under any pressure or coercion from said richest man, or his extensive legal team, which could have promised to stretch the

Don’t worry, he’s only ten seconds away from: “She didn’t have to look at his penis (allegedly) if she didn’t want to”

We’re pointing out that a free speech champion probably wouldn’t (1) buy someone’s silence and (2) if they did, would probably let that person out of that deal without consequences so the person could talk about a matter that has already been made public.

Thrice-divorced father of seven who rambles about woke libs and harasses flight attendants blames everybody else for his terribleness.

Truly, bold new ground in the long and storied history of basic ass masculinity.

We’re like three days out from an angry rant filmed from the dash of one of his taped together cyber

that’s what the people who want to go back to the 50s forget. The only reason the 50s were so good was because every other country on the planet was recovering from WW2. Now we are finding out we’re not special and in fact aren’t that great in all sorts of ways.

religion is ultimately dogma.  i prefer philosophies with room to expand with new knowledge and discovery.  also, science.

A member of Trump’s administration has an implicitly white nationalist ideology? I’m shocked.

What harm did he do, really? Jada Pinkett Smith has posted online several times talking at great length about how she doesn’t let alopecia get her down, that she isn’t ashamed of it. She literally makes fun of being bald herself.

My head is still spinning from all the people defending Smith. People I typically respect and who have opinions I nearly always agree with. Plus turning it into a racial thing is bizarre to me, and yes I understand the complexity of black women and hair, but it's not about the stupid joke, but about Will's reaction.
