If you can afford it, then the best way to buy an iPhone is direct from Apple and then get yourself an O2 pre-paid SIM.

Why don't you disable voicemail? Not only will it remove the tape icon in your notification bar - but you also won't be giving people the wrong idea that you might actually listen to their messages in a timely fashion.

It's always acceptable to leave a voicemail if the person you are calling has voicemail enabled.

Yeah, I had 2000 too on the basis that 98SE was so appallingly bad. Remember how when an application crashed you had to reboot the computer otherwise all your other applications started to also crash for no good reason? In fact, what pushed me to move from 2000 to XP was because my CD burner stopped working and the

Windows 2000 and NT were part of the business line. The consumer and business lines eventually merged for XP.

If you're in the UK then look for the deals on toptable.com. I tend to find that the best offer that balances a good selection of food with a good discount is the "50% off food" one. You could always go for the set menus which offer even more discount, but you're generally limited to a small selection of dishes.

This is so unbelievably obvious I'm surprised (and saddened) that the NYC needs to actually run something on this.

I have a Gorillapod which does a similar thing but can also be used to grip onto non-flat or vertical surfaces. Although this seems to be useful, I'd say that the Gorillapod is probably more useful.

There is a 9th which is go buy Danish bacon. It is far superior than that rubbery stuff you Americans eat :)

Well spotted, I got Comet and Currys mixed up.

Sorry to let you down but Comet lied to you.

Is this going to be a US only thing? Here in the UK they're still selling them at over £300 like the price crash the other side of the pond never happened.

Assuming Google has implemented search correctly (don't laugh, it's still horribly broken on the Android Market) he should be able to put "AC" into the nickname field and when his friends search for that, then he should come up in the results.

I tried Trillian but moved back to Digsby on account of the incessant pop-up adverts. Which was a shame because it looked and worked better - but the adverts were just far too annoying.

Think about it.

It sounds like you're working around the limitations of SearchEverything by misusing filenames.

Slight maths mistake there. Second hand iPhone 4's are selling on eBay for an average of £340. I don't think it's too unreasonable to assume that when the next iPhone comes out that the resale value will drop to around £240 (the current resale price of a 3GS).

I logged onto Facebook the other day using the Android client (version 1.5.1 - which is the last version that worked properly before they started breaking everything) to find an "advert" in my feed encouraging me to download the latest version.
