@edhe: Ahh right, sorry missed that and good point.

@Frank Rustyak: If HTC would fix their mail client to work with Gmail (it sadly puts sent mail into the IMAP/Sent folder - which means that all your sent mail ends up being duplicated) then I'd go back and take a look at it again.

There is no doubt that k9 has a lot of features and functionality - and I applaud it for that.

I just dislike people who never reply. Come on, I've taken the time and effort to send you this email - the very least you could do is spare the 20 seconds it takes to hit reply and compose a 10 word response.

Don't know about "Missed Reminder" but I like "SMS Popup" because it pops up the text message onto the screen, has configurable action buttons (including quick reply, TTS, go to inbox, cancel) and can play reminders if you don't dismiss the window.

@TehBeardMan: Unfortunately if you use the HTC Sense interface for any long period of time you'll find that it is riddled with bugs, inconsistencies, quirks and general annoyances which clearly could have been found if the company had ... well ... used the interface for any long period of time.

@Gameboy70: Have you tried Astrid Tasks? Free and syncs automatically with Google Tasks. Seems to work pretty well.

I've been told that children with learning difficulties can read text written with Comic Sans better than they can other fonts.

On a side note: I've had some success in speeding up file copies by turning off real-time detection for outgoing files (changing the setting from "All" to "Incoming only").

Dedicated app with access offline, synchronisation with Google Tasks, priorities (low, normal, high), due date, reminder and ability to subscribe to the "tasks" ical feed so you can see them in your calendar if you want as well as see the up and coming tasks in the next X days.

I use "Regards, MyName" unless I've used the word "regarding" so much in my email that putting a "Regards" on the bottom looks silly. In that case I put "Thanks, MyName".

@GiJin: This is because your phone is using WiFi as the data bearer.

Some interesting solutions here but they all seem to be geared towards working around the issue of that person being late.

@Apoc28: Every time someone has tried to put an operating system not designed for touch with apps not designed for touch onto a device designed for touch ... it has tanked.

@gnur: Can't disagree with you there as I've not seen the latest Ubuntu but any spit and polish on it has to be a good thing :)

@gnur: Yep, no improvements at all.

It's sad to see that Asus _still_ don't understand why the iPad has sold millions.

@mrsilver: Yeah, okay, I missed out two paragraphs so I lost the point of the article. My bad and serves me right for trying to speed read (*blush*)
