I admit I paid $150 for a pair of Police sunglasses.

I used to use AVG but switched to Microsoft Security Essentials a while ago and have never looked back.

Wow, for once a new application advertised as in the Android Market which *is* available in the UK!

Something I've noticed is that no-one seems to have picked up on the fact that it's shockingly easy to smash the iPhone glass on the front or back.

@The5thElephant: Maybe so, but if something goes wrong and your account gets compromised, I really cannot see your bank accepting that as a good enough reason for sharing your login details.

I tried the Windows version and it was pretty pointless as all the applications that needed to notify you did so already through their own UI.

Surely a much easier way would be to plan what you want to eat for (say) the week and then go out and buy only the items you need?

Worth checking your bank small print before you sign up to such a service as many of them will hold you directly responsible for any losses incurred on your account if you give out the username and password.

If you have an O2 Wireless box, then simply turning off and then back on again will do this.

One click to update all applications and some serious spam filtering of the reviews would be a good start, I've flagged loads which are just adverts for another website.

@inhacks: They announced they would remove them from the bottom of emails a couple of weeks back. Search for it.

I'm not convinced that Gmail "integrates beautifully" into Android - at least not my HTC Desire:

Before when I tried, my HTC Desire comes up with the unhelpful error message "Download failed".

Looks good, anyone know of a version for Firefox?

@trstn: I have a HTC Desire. The HTC mail client insists on tagging my sent emails with "IMAP/Sent" which means they appear twice within GMail. After about 20 sent emails, the web version of GMail starts to look a mess.

@Jahmon: gSyncit will do two-way syncing between Outlook and Google Calendar. You can then access the calendar via your phone.

The "cult of new" is a tad simplistic. The advantages of a new product is that it hasn't been knocked, bashed, scratched, scraped or dropped in any way, has all the original user manuals, accessories and - most of all - if it breaks, you can send it back under warranty for a new one.

It would be nice to have a website with looping videos to download for this kind of stuff.

@dmorrison42: All my experiences in XP of selecting a number of files, right clicking and selecting "print" (or "send to printer") have been that you tend to end up with 10 instances of Word appear, half of the selected ones don't print at all and your computer tends to either grind to a halt or lock up until you

@Marshall Preddy: Yes, that is correct. I'm currently using an HTC Desire with a Google Apps hosted domain and the HTC mail application connected via Exchange ActiveSync. Works pretty well.
