What makes Monster Jam so great is that is all about the fans and the spectacle. It is professional hooning in absurd vehicles. No BS drama, no officials mugging for the camera. Just men and women out to entertain people in huge trucks.

the engine will only last 31,000 miles.

You know why that car is terrible? It was developed at the Nurburgring. /JamesMay

The drivers would probably die from g forces

I think I represent the average used Hyundai owner. Half the possessions in my house were wedding gifts; a quarter were broken things I picked up from a dumpster or curb or neighbor’s doorstep and fixed with used parts I bought on eBay; the remaining quarter were items I actually purchased in working condition. I

Good news, Patrick! I’m going (maybe) to buy one. Here’s the mess:

I’ve owned a 2011 Forte Koup SX 6MT for the past six years and roughly 60k miles and it has been the most dead- nuts reliable and maintenance free car I’ve ever owned, including a whole bunch of 90's Hondas and Toyotas. I’m not even shittin’,

I couldn’t have said it better myself. As a BRZ owner (so don’t blame me), I’ve seen this before - strong sales the first year, but then everyone who wants one gets one, and sales drop sharply and stay there. Plus, the entire internet will rave about how awesome this car is, but a tiny percentage - think single digits

Actual pollution (VWs problem) and made up pollution (CO2), are very different things. The first is a problem, and the EPA will continue to lead efforts to reduce it. The second is a made-up “problem” that a bunch of people are making billions off of. The EPA should not have any business with the regulation of CO2

This confirms Jalopnik staff can always find something to whine about.

You know, the people who build our cars and engines and things that go fast voted for Trump at much higher than 47%.

I’ve been around for quite some time, and can remember when the vitriol was contained to sister sites. I remember when Jalopnik was politics free.

The extreme political editorializing on this site is getting old quickly. This may be news to you, but 47% of the country sees things differently than you. Marginalizing half your readerbase is not a good business model.

anyone who thinks this car is ugly needs to take a good hard look at the market right now. mazda is killing the design game right now.

Allegedly the fastest car in the world is car referred to as “My Buddy’s Mustang”. I hear about it at every car show but have yet to lay eyes on it.

Hillary lost. get over it. you can shout from the rooftops and be as biased as you want. at some point, you need to grow up, become an adult and move on.

firstly; the irony of it being a toyota is fairly entertaining

secondly, enough whinging already! the man got elected for numerous reasons, one of the biggest is the lousy fucking candidate the Dems went with in choosing Hillary. what should have been a landslide against a racist asshole turned into a shell shocked

Does Jalopnik know anything about politics? No? Then why is Jalopnik writing about politics and not cars?

I’ve really had it up to hear with the political crap here lately, especially the opening sentence. You guys need to chill out and get in touch. I’ll be back in a few weeks when you guys hopefully give it a rest.

Not as embarrassing as all the Liberals that are burning down their cities because the election didn’t go their way.

Tom, when will you do a follow up article to let us know what folks actually bought?
