In addition, since MIchigan is such a boggy, soggy state (especially the area around Ann Arbor), they are very protective of their watersheds.

Then when it drops below 70 we start looking for white walkers. Seriously, we were on the beach on Sunday. It was 73 degrees, but the wind was blowing. There were people from Wisconsin in the ocean. My wife was bundled up like she was at the Mt. Everest Base Camp.

This is a great, easy recipe and reminds me that we opened up and didn’t finish a bottle of red last night. Marina tonight!

:backs slowly away from 49GiantWarriors as the Texans get their backs up:

They did that hard rock version of Never Gonna Give You Up and brought Rick Astley onstage and people went bananas.

Seriously, how can anyone NOT like Rock you Like a Hurricane? It’s a classic, man.

Every time they show a shot of those winter mountains with all the trees and no leaves, I think of M*A*S*H.

Obligitory responses:

This person is a frickin’ genius.

I would agree. When we were in the market for a new car, I was talking to a friend from work who was a legit Subaru fanatic. He made some pretty compelling points. I’m not a gear head, but I try to do my research. The fact that Consumer Reports talks about their quality and reliability certainly didn’t hurt. Remember,

My friend owns a BMW SUV. Bought it used, but decided to go crazy and buy the extended warranty. Good thing thing she did. ~$3,400 worth of repairs later, she’s finally getting it back, but only paying $100 deductible. I kept encouraging her to bite the bullet and get out from under it, it was such an albatross around

This blew my mind when we started going to the dealership with it new Subaru. They were CHEAPER than our local oil change shop.

We also open a Subaru Forester and it’s been the same. Super duper car so far (2016). We’d love to get a Crosstrek when the Hyundai finally dies, which hopefully will still be a long time off.

We own a 2006 Hyundai Elantra with about 230,000 miles on it. That thing has been an absolute tank. We’ve done maintenance and that is almost it. Bought it new and it shows no sign of stopping. We use high mileage synthetic oil now but that’s the only fanciness it requires. What a great car.

Sad, but true.

My question is fabric braid (like woven) or leather braid? If leather braid, why the hate? :) It seems a good trade-off between the fanciness of a dress belt and the too-much-casual of a fabric/woven belt.

Also, this is like the uniform for academics. Jeans and a sport coat. Gives that impression of dressing up, but not really.

Oh man, Rax used to be the bomb. That shake they had? Can’t remember the name but it was amazing. I think it was cherry chocolate. Wow, memories, man, memories. My husband and I went on our first unofficial date there.

OMG, I loved Selfies! I was bummed when it got cancelled. Karen Gillian AND John Cho!

Former Navy. Can confirm.
