Thanks everyone... I tried dropbox, even with lan sync enabled, it said it would take 18 hours to transfer? I'm guessing that is uploading to their servers first? I should've been more specific too, macbook air, no optical drive. no usb cdrom drive available to me at the moment.

Any tips about how I can transfer files 3gb+ from my windows pc to mac? Whenever I transfer a dmg or any large file, the checksum fails or the file says it was corrupted.
