I think the color coding is a double edged sword. In scenes like the one you mentioned it's a bit over the top, but I love the short flash of purple over Jessica in the opening credits. It made me feel smart that I noticed it :)

Grey's is premiering season 14 this fall, not season 13. I understand it's easy to lose count after so many years though.

I'm also too old to figure out if this comment should be placed somewhere else instead of as a new comment, so I'm just going to leave it here and go drink my Metamucil.

I'm 38. I look back at myself in college and realize I was an idiot. I think those of you who are younger and have not had that experience are probably taking something personally that wasn't meant to be so. I don't think people who are younger than me don't know anything, but I do realize they have a lot to learn

Yes, that's just it. I always understood that Anne used her imagination as a defense mechanism. Anne is melancholy while remaining upbeat. The tone of "Anne with an E" is trendy and modern, so I'm not surprised, just not interested in watching any more of it.

I stopped after episode 1. I just don't have it in me to watch the rest.

Yes, I read the books. They uplifted me in spite of the bad things that happened. This series feels like it's fetishizing her past abuse and mistreatment.

I just watched episode 1 on Netflix, and I wasn't impressed. I guess I just didn't need or want a darker/grittier Anne. If this is the tone for the whole thing I'm going to skip the remainder.

Yes, we need these posts. Nobody else I know still watches the show, so I need somewhere to go to vent about it.

I love this show. I'm constantly surprised by how literally I can relate to Sharon and Rob's marriage. It doesn't just feel real, it feels personal. Our troubles are different than theirs, but the way we relate to one another and lean on each other to cope is so similar. Sometimes it gets spooky!

I've blocked out so much that I had to look up what that reference meant.

I'm so glad Mark McKinney has a show worth watching! I'm still bitter about the time I wasted on Studio 60.

Episode 15 is titled "One Hundred Days."

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was awesome at that trope.

I wonder which turtle will be voiced by Rob Paulsen in the newest reboot?

I'm still confused about how Hitler died. I thought he died of natural causes and his death was used for propaganda purposes, but now it seems like he really was assassinated by Heussman.

Or Thomas?

I assumed the other traveler was still on the same continent when the switch occurred and then moved east for work.

This was a refreshing change of scenery for the show. I was really happy to see Rhea Perlman again. It's good to know losing Danny doesn't mean losing Annette and Dot.

"Stepmom" and "In Bruges" both had tonally misleading trailers that made them look like straightforward comedies. Stepmom is like a full box of tissues tearjerker, and In Bruges is beyond my ability to describe.
