Have you considered XBMC with a t.v tuner on an HTPC?

My kids understand what coding is, they just have no interest in learning it, I guess I should have mentioned at this point my kids are 20, 16, and 14. They all have their own interests. My oldest is the one with the most interest in computers, but even he isn't interested in coding.
I think coding is something you have to come to on your own. You either want to learn it or you don't. Did I make my kids aware of it? Yes, but if they want to learn it (which they aren't really interested in) they will probably go about learning it.
This might have been a nice offer if Razer hadn't been the ones giving away the mouse. Every gaming product my husband and I have every bought from razer (and we gave them 3 changes) has always been crap. We first bought a mouse from them (can't remember the name at this point it was a while ago) and it caused major…

I love this app I'm glad I purchased it.
Yeah that might be it, pretty much everyone I text uses mysms as well.
I've never had an issue with group messaging.
I use mySMS. It not only has a desktop app, but I can use it on my tablet as well.

Nice setup :) currently our home has about 7TB of media and growing. Right now it's served up by a 5yr old amd athalon x64 with about 3gb of ram running ubuntu server and I fear it's on it's last leg. So building something that can serve it all up plus work as a backend for xbmc with mysql among other things such as…
I'm talking about building a home server with new parts, not used stuff. By server I mean Something to serve up files on your local network, maybe running plex, mysql, Apache (for testing), subsonic. Things of that nature.
Hey Lifehacker, How about a new "How to build a home server" post. So many people these days are building home servers I think a post like that would come in handy.
http://www.piriform.com is timing out ... :(
What exactly were they caught doing? I'm not being snarky I really would like to know.
I'm getting ready to build a new server so I can run these types of apps, as well as serve up our media in house. Currently we're sitting on about almost 7 terabytes worth of Data, but the current "server" I'm using is rather old. We seriously need to upgrade. The one I'm going to build will eventually house around 32…
I tried this addon but it still didn't fix all the little quirks for me. So Instead I switched to palemoon & palemoon for linux. It's a nice fork of firefox and all my firefox addons work with it and it doesn't have the new UI.
I never imagined breast feeding could be so difficult until I did it. It always looked so easy.
This one is for Linux, But my favorite has to be Kate It has Tons of Features http://kate-editor.org/about-kate/ and is very easy to work with.
I have occasionally tried one note, but I always go back to evernote. For me it just works and I use it for SOOOO much.
