Considering how much they bashed every aspect of the voice cast, the trailers, etc it is obvious this is just used to drum up clicks to their site. “Hey this movie is going to suck” followed by “Hey this movie wasn’t what we were hoping it was going to be” is exactly the type of logic I find this site dominated by

Seriously, the trailer makes it very clear that it’s a kids movie. Plus Illumination is involved. They made minions after all

...are we really going to write entire articles now about how we somehow expected the Super Mario Movie to be anything more than just a full-length nostalgia bonanza??

Okay now I am finally starting to wonder if it’s an industry wide agreement to make this movie out to be the antichrist. I’ve seen plenty of it so far but now it seems like it’s trying to get in your face how awful this film is.

People are talking like the Super Mario movie has to be the next Citizen Kane to be good and forget that its Mario.  It was fun, enjoyable, light popcorn faire, which is all it had to be.

Meanwhile across Gotham in the HBO renaming boardroom: Bored person 1: “SHIT! Maybe we just pull a 2010's and add an ‘X’ to the name!?” Bored person 2: YES! But we already have an ‘X’ at the end so replace the ‘M’! Bored person 1: HBO XAX IT IS!

Super HBO Max+ Turbo -Championship Edition- (& Knuckles): FINAL MIX

The name synonymous with 35 years of prestige, subscription-based programming, is turning off subscribers.

Umm, maybe it’s because HBO Max is 50% more expensive than other streaming services? In my opinion, HBO has the best quality content of any streaming platform (for adult viewers) and now they want to kill the brand equity they have built over the past 30 years.

Some more suggestions:

They should just get rid of the “Max” and make it “HBO”.

One contestant who was named (Kim Da-young) was said to be a school bully. She’s admitted to and apologized for past verbal abuse, while denying physical abuse. This was while she was in high school, mind. It’s fair to call out bad behaviour but we should also be able to recognize when a person has made themselves

What a pathetic attempt at framing a fine show.

If you get 100 people obsessed with having a perfect body and only 2 are nuts then thats honestly a pretty good ratio.

Just to make sure I understand, the controversies are:

We now know that the contestants are just the same as normal people when it comes to the rate of domestic abuse. It’s almost like they’re a part of the population.

The title of this made me think contestants were accused of assault during filming or off camera but no, they are charged outside of the production. So in honesty the show has absolutely nothing to do with their charges except they once appeared on it. So just what is it that you are trying to insinuate here?

I guess there are no legitimately interesting articles that could be written to drive traffic and even keep readers coming back...

What on earth is this article? You say it’s steeped in assault allegations and then it turns out to be a throwaway line at the very end where it turns out two (2!%) of the (unnamed) contestants have allegations against them. Is that even higher than the average at all?

It has literally nothing to do with the show, or

Definitely bought both
