Cooking is not the chore, clean up is. We cook at home 98% of the time and power plan dine out meals that accommodate my food allergies when on vacation. At most, one meal a day is cooked at the vacation house, its less energy expended on mundane tasks, and leaves more energy for vacation activities.

Number one: DO NOT SCAN QR CODES IN THE WILD! Even a QR code affixed to the table can be overlaid with a code that directs you to a malevolent site, one that can very effectively mimic a valid site. If absolutely necessary, a code handed to you by the server is not as risky but not optimal.

Oh man one of the best things about Youtube is that you can basically learn how to do anything on it.  I existed before the internet too but literally the best thing about it is that you can learn how to do things quicker and easier than ever before.

I have never been in a grocery store that cared if I peeled a banana or two off a bunch and bought the exact number I wanted.  Usually there is a pile of singles and twos off to the side with the bunches anyway from people doing just that.
