This show is so unique in its unabashed portrayal of fleshed out, complicated queer and Black (and some queer, Black) characters unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I love the first season and was desperately awaiting renewal news, and this feels like a disappointing outcome for a show that DID do numbers - in

As a gay white man in New Zealand, this show that tells the story about lesbian relationships and  point of view of a black lesbian woman is one of my favourite shows from last year and one of the reasons I recommended Prime Video as a streaming service to keep and not pirate.  The scene with the Tina and Ike Turner

Depp created the template: buy social media botfarms to flood the airwaves with negatives and chaos around the perpetrator and accuser in a situation until “no one really knows what the think” anymore.

Smithline’s response the Wood reminds me so much of the aftermath when a family friend was trying to get out of an abusive relationship and got manipulated into going back to him (she had made is as far as a women’s shelter before her family guilt-tripped her back). She then turned on those that were trying to help,

I would also give credit to Only Murders in the Building for the resurgence in murder mysteries!

I hope he still has all his fingers.

Oh man, a titanic dinner would be a good premise for the events of The Menu, given that Y’know. All the dying.

This really was an excellent show

I saw more of Judy Greer than expected.

I haven’t done this season yet, does it at least have a chocolate challenge on the hottest day of the year so that everybody can completely fuck it up and the entire episode can be worthless?

It’s kinda in the show’s DNA to flub a country-specific theme of the week, so the Mexican week was pretty much what you’d expect by this point, but time and time and time again this past season the time constraints ruined the challenges. If Paul is telling every contestant that their dough didn’t proof long enough or

I understand his disappointment. I thought he was quite good. Maybe not Emmy good but I also wasn’t expecting much. He certainly met and exceeded those expectations.

Well wait until she hears how disappointed you are.

I think overall the quality of the bakers has improved; you can tell most of the contestants have heavily planned and tested all their recipes, and thus the winner is usually better at details and time management than the rest of the bakers. It seems like the challenges have been getting tougher and the time

It’s like no one has hear of the previously unmentioned twin.

I got spoiled by access to Kakawa when we lived in Santa Fe, and now that it’s gone I miss it dearly. The portion sizes are miniscule, but their beverages are so unbelievably rich that you can sip one of the 3 oz cups for what feels like half an hour.

It’s a shame their locations are not as common anymore. The only ones I knew about in the area have been gone for a long time. I had it once and it was pretty good.

The show is called “Crazy Ex-girlfriend” and the creators get justifiably upset when people call it “My Crazy Ex-girlfriend”, which frames it as the story of a crazy ex, rather than her story. There was a time when the AV Club would have known this and cared.

Bi representation on tv still needs work but to see a bisexual woman discuss parenting roles with her girlfriend on a mainstream show made me quite teary. I was so desperate for even just an acknowledgement of my existence on TV as a teenager. I don’t think I ever dreamed of anything this great...
