These are the actions of an abuser. Here’s how: Abuse is about manipulation of power and control. Here he is, being a “concerned” parent to show up at school to pick up his kids, even though, based on what is being reported, he should not. He’s trying to publicly show that he is a responsible parent. It situations

One could also make the argument given his piss poor to mediocre college baseball stats that he made the right choice by picking the sport that requires a less refined skill set. Just like Russell Wilson and his .229 minor league average at Single A made the right choice years ago, as well.

Exactly. So this makes no sense “because sure, Steven Spielberg is rich—but he’s not necessarily “turn up your nose at syndicated NCIS money” rich.”

Came to make the exact same fucking comment, which I guess adds weight to Conan’s reasoning.

A quick google search just taught me that Spielberg is worth 3.7 Billion. That’s turn your nose up at literally anything you want money.

It’s not really a good point; most mainstream movies have always been unsubtle, and there are plenty of subtle movies today. It’s just unsupportable “good old days” nostalgia.

I appreciate unvarnished celebrity comments a la Anjelica Huston, but please people, punch up. You don’t like Bobby DeNiro’s movie choices? Fine. But making snide remarks about a movie that features women over 50 (when there aren’t exactly a ton of roles out there) feels mean-spirited and out-of-touch.

I can! A pitchfork allows the straw (or bedding) to fall through while keeping the manure on the surface of the tines. Horse manure usually forms large balls, so it mostly stays on the pitchfork. You could use a shovel, but that would be better suited to scooping on a hard surface, like a walkway.

re: the cat litter simile in the ep. shit (literally) clumps.

I think Burr’s a lackey, too.  They’re going to pitch softballs at DJTJ and declare him completely exonerated of perjury from his last testimony.

I’m just confused how this season can produce episodes like last week’s that hit huge emotional heights and were a blast to watch and not call it “fun.” So far this season I haven’t enjoyed the premiere and this one but everything else has been so strong that this season will probably cement this as one of my favorite

Romance isn’t the defining element of Jane The Virgin—that would be the Villanueva women sitting together on the porch supporting one another

You can’t drive while drunk or on heavy painkillers but booze is legal and so are painkillers if you have a prescription.

You can’t drive while you’re drunk and people still do it. What point are you trying to make?

Coincidentally, the phrase he felt it move when he tugged” is found in over 90% of Cap Thor slashfic. At the risk of ruining the innuendo with a relevant Joss Whedon reference, the hammer is his penis.

Bringing Michael back was a huge mistake that hurt the series. They had a happy marriage, she moved on beautifully... and kinda seems like the show wanted a huge cliffhanger before S5 so they wrote a resurrection plot (that didn’t really make sense under scrutiny) which cheapened everything.

I’m inclined to think that he felt it move when he tugged, and then decided he wasn’t worthy by himself. That’s just how I read the scene, though.

Am I the only one who expected this mysterious ranch owner Charlie to turn out to be Chuck Chesser?

Reviving the Hatha-hate, huh? I’m pretty sure the worse anyone can accuse her of is liking her job, working hard at her job, and not being named Jennifer Lawrence.

My husband and I watched The Favourite the other night and I was trying to explain to him who Nicholas Hoult is and the best I could do was explain that I knew him as a heel character from an awesome teen show with Gilly and Gendry and now that I think of it, why isn’t he on Game of Thrones? Question answered!
