I think a good option that splits the difference is a team name that shares a theme with the male team in the city, with the obvious example being the Lynx/Timberwolves. The Lynx have their own identity, but the shared color schemes and logo design make it feel like one Minnesota basketball family.

Is women’s hockey marketed at all? I live in Canada, love hockey (natch), love watching women’s Olympic hockey, and had no idea this even existed. I’m willing to bet there were a ton of Canadian companies that would have been thrilled to partner with women’s hockey. It’s a damn shame that this league no longer exists,

I’ve always thought a good idea would be for the NHL to follow the Soccer model and have a Women’s League but one that tied into the strength of the league’s history and rivalries. So no Liberty or Skycaps or whatever but just Bruins and Canadiens and Rangers and the like. It seems to me that there’s enough interest

...........Right...............

Nice little moment with Eve and Red Daughter Kara: Eve giving her instructions slowly like she is stupid & Red Daughter being annoyed and accurately saying “I speak English better than you do!”

I may be totally off-base on this, but some of Carl Lumbly’s physical mannerisms this time seemed to be based on how David Ajala carries himself as Manchester Black. So now I’m wondering... is Manchester somehow alive inside the staff and posing as M’yrnn to manipulate J’onn?

It would makes sense given that J’onn is

The midseason sizzle reel was gloriously bonkers. I can’t wait.

You’re telling me that one box of donuts is gonna feed all 12 DEO agents?

Supergirl, Alex, and Lena as a team finally is wonderful even if it, sadly, is mind-wiped Alex. Here’s hoping it continues and they don’t try to fracture them off again. I don’t mind the ‘make-up’ being a little too easy if it finally gets us to this point. Having them at odds never really worked.

- I thought this show had gotten significantly better with Lex, but now we get him AND more Carl Lumbly? YES, PLEASE!

I find it kind of strange they made it look like more of this episode would be spent on faux Supergirl in the trailer. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it had me expecting a pretty different episode than the one we got.

Colonel Haley’s gradual turn to the light seemed equally highlighted by her accepting Supergirl’s donuts (Supergirl and Flash initially bonded by their mutual love of donuts!) and her agreeing with Alex that Supergirl would never have launched a homicidal attack like that

Cute CEG shoutout, especially considering Rachel Bloom wrote Super Friends for the Flash/Supergirl musical a few seasons ago.

I definitely should have changed “It happens to be where Lex lives” to “It happens to be where Lex sent me” but other than that, it works.

“I come offering donuts!” was a great moment.

Eve doesn’t seem to have that much self awareness, though.

I completely missed Carl Lumbly’s name in the credits, so seeing him turn up was an unexpected delight, especially since he was so damn good as GhostDad.

I truly wish that the promo for this episode hadn’t spoiled Dupergirl’s attack on the White House.
