“How did this not come up?!”

“Is the shooter Muslim or a white guy? Which is better for me?”

Holy shit, what a return to form. “7-eleven dumpster in the sky.” / “So I can nuke America.” / The Cedar Falls intro with Selina throwing her phone and yelling “NO!” was great. I missed these terrible people something fierce.

I am now totally convinced that Julia Louis-Dreyfus has a portrait of herself in an attic that is decomposing in real time while she remains near immortal in her appearance, comic timing, energy and delivery.

The revelation that Jonah married his stepsister and nobody realized had me in tears.

Sorry for making the obvious comment/joke, but, jesus, Grey’s Anatomy is still on? Maybe they can get James Arness for a guest spot?

Whenever you notice something like that, the Speedforce did it.

Girl, the bigger problem is you keeping your grandfather's last name. Let's talk about that?

Mussolini’s brand of Fascism didn’t really have a racial dimension until he started aping Hitler...”

No, figurative China.

The Chinese teams generated a lot of income for the league. They’re the reason the league was able to finally start paying the players wages.

Cecily Strong.  I fucking lost it when she fell the second time and her shoes went flying off.  I thought one hit Colin at first.

I can see why the infusion of money China offers is tempting to women’s sports, but ehhhhhh that’s just kinda ridiculous.

I think Aidy Bryant (if she wrote it) was probably going more for the laughs or social message of a woman being left behind, and didn’t care as much about the facts.

I was pining for another encore of “Electric Shoes” during that second Tame Impala number.

I thought Sandra did fine. She reminds me of Gillian Anderson as someone who does so much drama stuff you don’t realize how good she could be at comedy.

I actually had wondered if they might have made her monologue a Grey’s reunion (has anyone from that show ever been on SNL?).

Bowen Yang played Kim. He’s one of the show’s writers and apparently has a show with Awkafina being developed at Comedy Central. I thought he was fine, but like you, I was mostly just relieved they didn’t put a white man in makeup and a wig. I really, really thought they would.

They might try to get her back for a post-crossover episode instead, to hammer home that Oliver’s actions during it had a huge impact on the timeline. I’d say it’s a coin toss right now whether all the show’s current flash-forward stuff is the final buildup to the big payoff: the CW-verse’s fascistic, Argus-and-Archer
