Hah!

In other words, it's Canadian bowling, if we're talking bowling circa 1960.

So, so wrong. +1

Popovers are the only food my wife's grandmother makes better than my own. Totally outperform dinner rolls.

My grandmother also roasts a duck on Thanksgiving. That outranks any other protein or vegetable. Hard to figure out how it fits against gravy, as gravy needs some sort of food delivery partner.

What about raisins in stuffing? My family insists on a stuffing prep that includes raisins, and it just RUINS it. Whoever thought of putting in those raisins should be hit in the head with a brick.

What's your favorite alternative (not roasting) turkey preparation? I'm partial to grilling a turkey, but since I'm never in charge of the bird I do it every year on a camping trip.

Did I read this wrong, or did the Heat pay for the actual building construction? If so, yeah, maybe Miami Dade did a shit job on getting a lease on the donated land but overall at least this isn't a publicly financed arena. I would say more cities should move in this direction.

I think the issue is just Fieris schtick. He doesn't run any of the places he visits and in my experience with the ones in Chicago and Milwaukee that I've seen he's been to I've only disagreed once or twice.

Don't let the guy Fieri endorsement fool you. The food is really good, and like with all good fried food eat in. Plenty of praise by Chi locals. Over on Orleans

Gah, so far away (live by wrigley). I'm happy to see big and littles opening a second location up by me.

Name please?

Lack of professional photography doesn't seem to put a damper on other forms of porn. At least not according to the informal poll I just conducted in my browser history.

That's not half bad.

Albert you are not alone on the microwave here. I don't know enough food science to know why, but any potato preparation that uses the microwave as a time saving prep method vs roasting or frying (even halfway) just always seems to turn out less tasty. Something unnatural is sucking out flavor in the microwave.

I'm fairly certain the squirt and 50/50 markets are made entirely of people who need "sweet" or "sour" for their drinks in WI. Gotta get what's on sale at the Piggly Wiggly or IGA

Coke?!? No, Brandy 'Old Fashion'. Preferably with Mr T's mix and 50/50 as the sour mix. Remember 50/50, it still exists!

What to do with the Brandy? Well make Old Fashioned's of course (korbell only) That is, if you grew up in WI like me and your drinking is informed by 80 year old German grandmothers.

Alright Albert. You make a strong case for sauerkraut here and in the comments, but criminally left it off your recent list of top condiments. Explanation?
