I felt that XD was an interesting experiment. They appeared to honestly be trying to make a more mature plot line in a pokemon game, something that they revisited (more successfully) in Black and White. Although it wasn't the best game ever, I can definitely appreciate the experiment for what it was.

I think the point is that a pokemon game of any worthy quality would sell Wii Us.
