I’m all for making it easier to vote, but one doesn’t have anything to do with the other. There’s no link between voting access and the number of women in elected positions. If we squint, we might see a connection between voter id and getting candidates of color elected, but that’s a very minor piece of the puzzle

Right. I mean, it’s super neutral. It’s kinda like ordering the chicken, you know? Like the article definitely isn’t against it (the way, say, Jez was outraged that a woman who once gave Hillary’s campaign $150 now likes Trump, or that Hillary’s LLC incorporated in Delaware like everyone else’s) BUT, come on. The

That is a bullshit thinly veiled excuse for sexism.

Jezebel is a contrarian website first so they’ll continue to hate on her till she finally puts Bernie out of our collective misery. Then they’ll dump on her for not doing an all women ticket and then they’ll complain about what cabinet positions she gives the women it’s an endless cycle.

I think you Americans should do a better job at getting more women into Congress. Studies show that congresswomen (yes, both Democrats and Republicans) are more likely to push for bills that help women that than their male counterparts

Im confused. The write up isnt negative.

would you say you’re.... thrillary’d?

Come on Jez! We can do this! Hillary would make half her cabinet women....and she’s a feminist....and this is a feminist website...so this is a GOOD THING! Yay! Go Hillary!

Hilldog, that’s what I like to hear

EXACTLY this. The heroes and villains narrative is so simplistic and quite honestly, doesn’t do much to get things done (though I will admit that it at least seems to shake some people out of their complacency). But Christ, I have had enough.

Yeah, I started out thinking Bernie has some good ideas but that he makes a better legislator than he would an executive. Then his supporters became a cult and I’m sick of it. I don’t trust anyone who sells you heroes and villains and that taking out the bad guys will solve all our problems.

I like his ideology, but as far as actual, detailed policy that he plans to implement, he seems to barely understand what he has to do imo. Also I am fucking sick and tired of how rabid his supporters are. It’s one thing to be passionate; it’s another thing to fucking badger people incessantly.

The Sandernistas in Washington State are trying to get the state party to pull their support of our ENTIRE NATIONAL CONGRETIONAL DELEGATION, PLUS THE GOVERNOR, because they are super delegates for Hillary. She locked them up almost a year ago, eight months before the primary started, because even then she was visiting

I absolutely agree.

It was pretty outrageous.

What leverage does Bernie have? She has the popular vote and has been rasing funds for the DNC for over a decade.

Bernie became a Democrat *just last year* so he could have access to the evil, corrupt, whorish DNC machine (despite having done very little to actually help them and talking about

Bernie is becoming a hypocritical dick with his double standards. I like his policies but he’s a tool.

It’s a fool’s errand. The superdelegates aren’t going anywhere. They’ll follow the popular vote and delegate count (where Clinton is way ahead on both accounts) like they always do. Plus, the superdelegates tend to be elected democrat officials, and Clinton has raised millions of dollars for downticket dems. She’s

It meant so much to have our first black president. It would mean just as much to have our first woman in the Oval Office.

I am just so happy and proud of New York voting for Hillary. I know many states have done it before, and many states will do it after, but I am just over the moon about this win. Because, it really does mean, that there is such a possibility that I will get to see a woman become president before I’m 30. I just wish my
