I think they let it go as far as that so that the confrontation begins with a cop (Art) witnessing Duko assaulting someone unprovoked. It immediately puts Duko on the defensive.

I watched the after show, and the guy who played Duko actually is a D&D guy. So he knew what he was talking about in that line. The people who play Sarah Stubbs and Art weren't at all familiar with D&D.
